Just returned from 8 night stay. After a long flight and hour transfer we arrived at the Ambre. We recieved a warm welcome and a welcome drink. We arrived at just after midday but were unable to go to our room untill 2pm which wasn't helpful due to us being exhausted. We were given a free upgrade to a beach front room but was disappointed it didn't have a balcony. The room was very big, very clean with a comfy superking bed. The meals in the buffet resturant was of a good standard and the hotel staff were always very polite and helpful. We booked the Italian resturant for dinner one evening but was disappointed with the food my starter was cold. There was a bar overlooking the beach again the staff worked very hard and were polite. Their wasn't enough sun beds most guests would get up and put their towels on really early and on the beach not enough sunbeds to cater for everyone. The gardens were well kept but no real seating areas. We found ourselves walking around trying to find somewhere to Sit. We only saw entertainment one evening some dancers if their was other entertainment it must of started really late in the evening. I felt bored with only one bar area and nothing else to do, the beach was nice better if you waked further to the left. We went out on the peddlers and booked the five island trip through papa dreams, victor on the watersport rang the company for us it was a great day we saw dolphins, snorkled, fed monkeys and had a lovley lunch on one of the islands. I highly recommend this trip. We also went to the west coast to swim with dolphins, unfortunately the wheather wasn't good and the sea was rough. A nice hotel if you just want to relax it did seem very crowded with only small communal areas.

Hotel's Favorite
Just returned home from our 2 week honeymoon at the Amber Hotel. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the reception staff who were extremely pleasant. Our first impressions of the hotel, views, pools and beach area were amazing. There was a great selection of food at all mealtimes. Drinks on the all inclusive were great (even tried cocktails and drinks I’d never heard of). Our room from our balcony looking over the beach and sea was amazing - definitely worth booking a sea view room. All the staff from the receptionist, taxi drivers, chefs, cleaners and waiters are amazing - they made us feel so welcome and were happy to help us whenever needed. Especially Vanessa the Receptionist who couldn’t do enough for us. Thanks for the little gestures and gifts you left in our room throughout our stay. This has definitely been 1 of our favourite holidays.

Once we arrive at Ambre, we are greeted with beautiful smiles, the kind of smiles that can make even a sick person feel better. The sun seems so much brighter and the ocean bluer. The staff welcomes us wholeheartedly and we are greeted with a nice freshmade granite with raw sugarcane - way to start our weekend. We were cordially invited to the fresh breakfast buffet - the various fresh options catered to the veggie, meat and light eaters. With a sense of service and without being forceful, Vanessa with her lovely smile, escorted to our beautifully-decorated room. The bright sun rays made it so inviting with bright hibiscus and fresh palm trees adorned on the bed. The day was going so well despite us being under the weather - the staff knew how to make us feel welcome. The afternoon collation with the music and excellent human touch made our day even more special. Dinner was something memorable - we had this nicely-decorated table with the perfect logging under the coconut trees. The staff escorted us with warm, welcoming smiles and the hospitality was felt in every gesture. We could hear the ocean sounds and the breeze slightly - it was perfect. We started with a fresh crab salad followed by a seafood soup and a perfectly-seared fish course finished off with a nice light dessert. Throughout the dinner, one of the super friendly staff brought us some hot potty with local rum which made us feel better. The next day, we were able to start a fresh day early. Having a super nice conversation with Rakesh Rai and more about the Ambre’s team was the highlight of our day. Those human connections that we keep looking for - and are so often missed or overlooked - either coz they are deemed to be not so important in this digitally-connected world or because of human evolution. We were able to find that at Ambre - those “timeless memories” we created with our Ambre family - and that’s why we will recommend Ambre to anyone who wants great service and that wonderful human touch that is so rare to find. We hope you love it as much as we did.

Special mentions for Herman, Vishnu, Anand, Yovani, Siham, Teeluck, Jameeta, Kenny and ‘Ricky from animation! These people stood out to us - particularly Siham so thanking you all for treating us so well during our stay. Everyone we have met though has been wonderful - we had lovely treatments at the Spa which were reasonably priced. The drinks were sometimes hit and miss when it came to the cocktails - just a little flat soda from time to time but the food was delicious and every evening there was some form of entertainment which wowed us - especially the sega music and dancing. The water activities are a stones throw from the coral bar and we did many of them including tube riding, water skiing, parasailing and there are also free water activities such as pedalo’s and kayaking. All of the water sports staff who are separate from the hotel are kind too and we went back many times to do more activities. We met a gentleman called Chris who organised the most special day while we were there which was a visit to the ‘five islands’ its a MUST and he was a lovely man who gave us a fantastic price! The view from the hotel is stunning you are quite literally on the beach next to crystal clear waters. Our room was clean, large, spacious and our balcony view was a highlight as we over looked the sea. If we experienced problems the staff came and sorted very quickly (our Ariel came out of the television which we couldn’t rectify ourselves and the reception sent maintenance up within minutes) All in all you won’t meet friendlier people than here at the Ambre and we will miss our time here hugely. We hope to be back again one day Grace and Patrick :)

My husband and I just spent 13 nights at this resort. We were welcomed with a lovely cool drink and check in was quick and efficient which is welcome after a long trip. We had a few trips to the Spa which were absolutely amazing.. the treatments were wonderful. The staff look after you really well and there is always a bar tender on the beach to bring you drinks. The rooms are lovely, well equipped and are kept spotlessly clean. This is a 4 start hotel and we definitely got value for money. We did find the food could be quite repetitive and the salad bar was pretty limited, this definitely could easily be improved by adding more selection. We asked about keeping our room after check in for another 4 hours and were told it would be 140 euros which we felt was ridiculous for 4 hours however the facilities provided for you to use to shower in prior to leaving are really good so there really is no need to keep the room. More available sun beds would also be a welcome improvement. All in all we had an excellent holiday.
