My wife and I left for Mauritius in October 2023 to spend our honeymoon here and what can I say, the hotel is fantastic.

The service and care were the most obvious differences from previous hotel experiences. They really try to accommodate every request here. After the first evening, the drinks you want are already known. The staff, especially the hotel manager Lana, are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Jerome is responsible for the catering. He is super funny and knows a few German proverbs, which makes for a laugh or two. You get comprehensive support when planning excursions. The young Krish, who looks after you on the beach, is also very caring. I have never experienced service like this before.

The hotel complex is located directly on the private beach and is very well maintained. Unfortunately, a lot of algae washed up during our time there, which somewhat spoiled the bathing experience. But the hotel can't do anything about that and the access to the sea was made possible every day by clearing paths. The rooms are lovingly furnished and very clean. They are cleaned twice a day and you are always surprised by Prithvi, Roshan, Nilesh, Arvin or Kishan (room service) with works of art made from flowers and towels.

Breakfast is served as a buffet, with ice cream and drinks prepared to order. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and is peppered with local specialties in addition to the usual dishes. At dinner, you can choose from a 3-course menu between many dishes, only some of which are available for an additional charge. There is also a recommendation from the house every day. For me, the offer was absolutely sufficient. We only booked half board. The drink prices are high but still acceptable. In my opinion, all inclusive is not worth it if you are out and about. Once a week there is a Mauritian evening with cocktails and a buffet. There is occasionally live music in the evening. If you are looking for constant entertainment and animation, Seasense is not the place for you. In return, you get peace and pure relaxation here.

Another highlight is the possibility of renting kayaks, bicycles, SUPs or snorkeling equipment free of charge. The spa treatments are also highly recommended, although as a European you don't really need the sauna at almost 30 degrees.

I can only recommend the hotel. For a few impressions, I refer you to the pictures. Thanks for everything, seasense.

We spent our honeymoon at Seasense in early to mid-September 2023 and we had a wonderful time. The food is rightly praised repeatedly, we have eaten excellently here every time - from fresh fruit for breakfast to the fine lunch (3 courses possible each time) to the daily changing evening menu, where you can also order à la carte. We liked one dish so much that we asked for the approximate recipe so we could cook it ourselves, and the chef even came to our table personally to tell it to us!

The beach is beautiful, is regularly cleaned of algae and cleaned by cleaning staff, and there is a beach bar where you can sometimes order a drinking coconut that is freshly cut.

On some evenings we experienced live music - traditional Mauritian songs twice, and on Mondays a pianist played on the grand piano in the dining room.

The service was amazing and the part that impressed us most. Apart from the fact that the basic expectations of service were perfectly met, the ladies and gentlemen at Seasense always went a few steps further. To give a few examples: the room is cleaned during the day, the bed is made nicely - and in the evening, when you go out to eat, it is folded over "ready for bed". The toilet paper is "tipped" every time room service is provided and the towels are changed every time. They remembered how we put our clothes away in the room, and I found my laundry that I had ordered put away by the service in the same way. When eating, the water bottle is carefully placed on the table by the waiter after pouring it, without letting it bounce. The staff remembered when we always went out to eat and asked us if we were on an excursion when we actually didn't show up for dinner because we were on a day trip. One time, a dish that I particularly liked was not available in the form it was - the chef then improvised a similar version for me (the initiative came from the staff!). After room service, I always found my scarf, wool blanket, etc., which I had thrown over a chair, neatly folded. When we asked at reception for a nail clipper, none were available. The next morning, one of the men at reception had apparently brought his private (!) nail clipper and lent it to us so that my husband could cut his fingernails.

Overall, the staff were just incredibly attentive and you could tell that they were personally motivated to make our stay as pleasant as possible.

Thank you for the lovely time - especially to:

Jerome
Akash
Bhavish
Krish
Ritesh
Akshay

But everyone was extremely friendly, we have fond memories of that time!

The reception: The journey from the airport to the hotel took about an hour. When we arrived at the Seasense Hotel, we were warmly welcomed with welcome drinks and then given a tour of the property.
During the tour, we were asked about our allergies, which we found extremely thoughtful.

We had booked a double room at the Seasense Hotel.
Although we did not have a sea view, our stay at the Seasense Hotel was fantastic overall. The modern room facilities, the dressing room, the daily refreshed drinks and the reliable housekeeping service (especially by Prithvi) contributed significantly to a comfortable and pleasant stay.
During our stay at the Seasense Hotel, we booked half board.
The breakfast was a real highlight. We were greeted in the morning by a rich buffet with fresh fruit and a wide selection of delicacies. The fresh fruit was particularly refreshing and delicious, and the variety of dishes ensured that there was something for every taste. A perfect start to the day.
At 4 p.m., the Seasense Hotel offered coffee and cake. Dinner at the Seasense Hotel was another highlight.
We had the opportunity to choose from an a la carte menu. The 3-course menus were not only tasty, but also attractively presented. (other dishes were available for an additional charge)

The Seasense Hotel had weekly specials: barbecue and lobster.

The Seasense Hotel had a wide range of free activities: kayak, SUP, gym and bicycles.

The infinity pool at the Seasense was a real highlight. With breathtaking views and crystal clear water, every swim was an unforgettable experience.

The beach at the Seasense Hotel was immaculate. Daily algae removal and enough towels ensured that even when the hotel was full, guests could spread out on the beach in a relaxed manner.

The service at the Seasense Hotel was consistently courteous and friendly. Special mention should be made of Jerome and Avi, who were absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, there were occasional forgotten drink orders.

We decided to rent a car for 50 euros a day to explore the area on our own.
Although the hotel had a spa, we didn't use it.

We booked our excursions on site or through apps rather than through the hotel, which gave us more cost-effective flexibility and variety in our adventures.

Overall, our stay at the Seasense Hotel was worth every penny. This great hotel is highly recommended. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest!

Unfortunately, we were completely disappointed by this hotel.
In theory, it is supposed to be a 5* hotel, but unfortunately even basic points such as cleanliness were lacking.
The room we were given initially smelled musty and moldy, but we were given a first room straight away. - This was solved professionally. However, the minibar had not been refilled by the previous occupant and so we were charged for a bottle of wine, which was cancelled after lengthy discussions.
However, everything in the new room was also damp. Towels and bed linen smelled moldy almost every day. You were lucky if a towel smelled like it had just been washed. Even 'fresh' beach towels were sometimes refolded without being washed, so that some of the previous occupant's remains were still in them.
Glasses in the room and at dinner ALWAYS had lipstick from the previous occupant or fingerprints on them. - This is not acceptable, even in 3* hotels.
Room service leaves the door open for minutes while entering and leaving the room. (I experienced this myself when I was waiting in the room while the glasses were being smoked out.)

The quality of the food varies greatly. Often many ingredients are missing and this has been the case for many days. If you're lucky, you'll be told, sometimes they'll just leave it out. Sometimes you'll be pushed to eat dishes that require an extra charge. Here too, the extra charge is not in proportion to the quality.

More show than substance!

Service, like the food, varies greatly and is unprofessional. You're generally only asked for one glass. But since you're sometimes done in under an hour anyway, the restaurant is not inviting to linger.

But the coffee for breakfast is absolutely impossible, they serve instant coffee from Nescafé. After asking several times, a coffee bean was also possible after 3 days. The standard answer from the service was usually: "I will check it" - often nothing came. You had to be lucky to get a waiter who was trying.

It was also exciting when checking out, as we met a couple who wanted to check out again straight away after one night. - Precisely for the hygiene and cleanliness reasons listed above.

As we were fed up with constantly pointing out things that weren't going to be fixed anyway and thank God we were only in the hotel for breakfast and dinner, we stayed here for the rest of the day - also because we still had 12 days of the trip ahead of us.

All in all, this hotel was a complete disappointment. Especially since we were at the Seapoint at the end of our trip, which belonged to the same group. We were so impressed in every respect and would recommend it to every guest.

Stayed 7 nights mid-October
We had a brand new room (the hotel just got renovated) with views of the pool and lagoon. Spacious room, bright, well equipped and air conditioned. The bedding is super comfortable, there is plenty of storage, and the sockets fit the EU and UK plugs. A big thank you to Shivanee thanks to whom our room was always impeccable, we greatly appreciated his kindness and professionalism. The only downside: our room had a slight smell of moisture, as it only has opening on one side through the bay window, and the VMC on the other.
The hotel has two swimming pools: an unheated infinity pool (a little cooler than the sea) beautiful, and another heated pool, very nice, a little smaller. Both pools have sea views.
The hotel's two restaurants serve excellent dishes, very well presented and served by attentive staff. The dishes are numerous, varied, and the half board formula gives you access to about half the menu (the rest requires an extra charge). Breakfast is delicious and hearty, with waffles and small pancakes cooked on site every morning!
The beach is nice, with many sun loungers, in the shade of palm trees, deckchairs/sofas for two, hammocks. On one side of the beach, the boathouse and its very friendly staff offer free rental equipment: mask & snorkel, fins, and even kayaks to explore the lagoon (we haven't seen any fish but you may be luckier). Across the beach there is an outdoor bar that offers drinks and salty food (pizzas, burgers and others), where we were warmly welcomed by Stephan and Avinash!
Two things to know about the beach: 1) we had a few stray dogs crossing the beach, but we never saw them bother anyone. They don't bark or stick or touch anything. 2) the beach to algae problems: every morning, a craft comes to evacuate the algae. We have not heard the noise from our room, but during the day on the beach you can sometimes smell the smell of algae.
Apart from that, the hotel was renovated recently, everything is clean, the decor the furniture. There is a spa in the hotel, the water in the bathroom is very soft (good for those with irritated skin!). The staff is super nice, very attentive, and bilingual French-English.
We recommend, we loved our stay, thank you again to the whole Seasense team!

The hotel is kept very quiet, not too many rooms, no bulk handling, but very detailed.

The rooms are all facing the sea and are cleaned several times a day, or at least guests are asked if anyone else needs anything.

After a few days we noticed that after the cyclone in the room something was wrong. The staff took care of this mistake immediately and tried to give us some nice last days.

The beach bar was a treat for a midday snack, or for a cocktail.

Dinner was usually a 3-course meal, where you can decide if you want the menu from the chef, or if you want to order something from the menu.

In summary, we couldn't have imagined our honeymoon better.

Thanks again to all the staff!

We will definitely come back.

For us, a clear 6 out of 5 stars😅
The Seasense is beautifully located for anyone who doesn't want to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle and is looking for some relaxation.
When we checked in, our suitcases were taken care of (brought to our room) and our rental car was parked. As a welcome, we were given a passion fruit juice and a damp towel in the stylishly furnished and comfortable lobby.
Our room was spacious, with enough hangers in the closet, a nice bathroom with a large rain shower, a comfortable bed and a balcony. Room service comes every morning and evening and takes care of fresh towels, bed, etc.
The complex is looked after by several gardeners and you can see that - very well maintained and full of plants.
Seaweed is indeed washed up on the beach every day, but they really make a great effort to keep the hotel's own section of the beach clean. That's just nature. In general, we always felt very comfortable on the beach. There are enough comfortable loungers and beach towels. The pools are also right on the beach - an infinity pool and a heated pool, which was our highlight on cooler days after swimming in the sea.
Thierry at the beach bar takes care of everything and provides every guest with his warmth, good drinks and, above all, a good mood.
Here in the east of the island you can see the sun rise over the sea in the morning, but then of course it doesn't set... from 3:30 p.m. it's rather shady on the beach.
On the culinary side: TOP CLASS!
We have never eaten as excellently as here in any hotel. The kitchen at Seasense is of a very high standard. Chef Ram invited us to a private cooking class - what an honor. We will definitely cook the chicken curry at home. Thank you again!!! These little personal touches, gestures, conversations and a warm smile give guests an incredibly good feeling around the meals. Sylvana (warm and caring with a great charisma) and Jérôme (speaks very good German and always has a quick joke ready) are two of the service staff that deserve a special mention. Sharvan and Abish also made a very positive impression on us.
Yona (guest relations office) has this special smile and immediately radiates that you feel in good hands here.
Daran (Head Manager) really cares about making guests feel comfortable and is happy to take the time to ask them how they are and what they want. He takes care of things directly and was able to allow us to check out later, for which we are still very grateful.
A feel-good place like the Seasense naturally also has a spa: we had massages with Sarah and Kasana - a great addition to a relaxing holiday.
The jewel of the Seasense is really the caring, friendly, non-intrusive but pleasantly caring manner of the staff. You can feel that everyone is coming from the heart and is genuine.
Absolutely recommended!

We enjoyed the 2 weeks in the small and very personal hotel very much. Our room had a great sea view with a large wooden terrace with sunbathing area and chairs. The room itself was very clean and spacious and was cleaned several times every day and very nicely decorated. A soothing almond scent also refreshed the room. Many thanks to the team around Shivam, Roshen and Lucky.
During the day, comfortable loungers with umbrellas and beanbags were available directly on the beach. The Beach Bar team fulfilled all wishes with their always mega-good-humored Thierry (fruit on the stem, coconut, cocktails, refreshing towels and much more). The cuddly and large bath towels could be picked up directly and free of charge at the bar. Thierry always ensured a good mood in a suitable way and always had consideration for all guests.
The generous breakfast buffet was great and there is something for every taste. Fresh fruit, muesli bar, juices, sparkling wine, pancakes and waffles but also sausage/cheese and egg dishes. Here we would like to thank Avinash in particular who felt he was always and everywhere and took care of us all around.
In the evening you had the choice between a 3-course menu of the “Chef’s Suggestion” and the menu of the restaurant. We very often decided on the chef's suggestion as it was absolutely varied and a real treat.
Here we were well served by Shavan and Varun as well as the entire team and
I'm worried.
Since we only had our departure in the evening, we got the opportunity to keep our room with the late check out until 6 p.m., thank you for this to Manav.
All in all we are very relaxed and can recommend this place very well.

Housed in small apartments located 30 meters from the beach, the Seasence hotel offers great comfort, it is ideal, especially for WiFi on the beach.

In terms of catering, I was a little surprised by the à la carte service, as I was used to the buffet at other hotels. But with the understanding of the management and the kindness of the staff, I was able to eat very well.

I must make a point of thanking the room cleaning service. Many thanks to Akhil, Shivam, Prithvi and Devina. Even after the service, they came back to fold laundry, redo the bedding, place little chocolates on the bed...etc. Never seen !

A truly paradisiacal hotel to relax in. The garden and the entire complex are extremely well-kept and pleasant to look at. There are always enough loungers and you can swim perfectly in the beautiful infinity pool or directly in the great bay. Unfortunately, algae appear relatively frequently here, but the hotel makes every effort to remove them in the morning. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly. I would particularly like to praise Shivam, who repeatedly prepared nice surprises in our room during our entire stay. Our room was perfect and very clean and well-kept.

The evening meal is always lovingly prepared and delicious, but the portion sizes vary quite a lot, so that you sometimes go to bed full and hungry after other dishes. Once a week there was a buffet, which was very good; we would have liked something like this more often as a change. One evening there was a barbecue, but only for an additional charge of around €30 per person, which in my opinion should be included as a change. The breakfast was delicious and the prepared egg dishes were fantastic, but after a while it gets a bit monotonous as there is no real selection of sausage or cheese.

The location is perfect for relaxing and unwinding, but there are absolutely no shops or restaurants nearby to use. However, you can easily get to Flacq by bus 55, or you can optionally take a 40-minute walk along the beach to Belle Mare. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and can highly recommend the hotel.

No. You do get a bottle of water inyour room each day. There is a shop opposite hotel . It looked like a clothing shop. Whether they sold other things I don’t know as we didn’t go in. We walked along the beach to the far end and then onto the main road to Belle Marr. It was about 3 kn each way. We did buy water and pringles and chocolate there.
