We spent 9 days in Cora Cora resort for New Year 2022. We were 2 families, frequent travelers all over the world. It was our 4 -th visit to Maldives, always 5 * hotels, so I think we can be objective and compare the experience. Resort is very beautiful and green. The island is just the right size to walk on foot and not wait for buggy. We stayed 3 days in Beach pool villa and 6 days in Duplex lagoon villa. Beach pool villa is a bit small for 2 adults + 2 children, but has the best beach on the island, wide and beautiful, house reef starting just in front of us. Our pool was under the trees and always in the shade, so it was a bit cold and we never used it. House reef is not the best I've seen, but there is life in it. Duplex lagoon villa is much bigger and suits better for our family - kids were sleeping on the first floor and we had second floor for ourselves. Pool was much bigger and warmer, but better choose sunset side of lagoon villas, as on the sunrise side was very strong wind during our stay. View in lagoon villa is beautiful, but nothing to see in the ocean while snorkeling, reef is dead here. On the positive side of the resort I would like to mention the staff - most of them are doing their best, even in the situation that they were not enough of them for the amount of guests living in Cora Cora during our stay. Marika at Aquapazza restaurant was very kind. Ladies at kids club is great too. Sheela made some pictures of my kids while they were planting asparagus and sent them to me after we left the resort. The idea with the museum in the resort is very interesting and Wifag, who works there is a great, he works with such passion and knowledge for history of Maldives! Guys at diving center are great, Andrea gave very good advices about diving to my son and my husband. The yoga hut in the ocean is fantastic place to practice. The sunset yoga was a great experience and instructor is very professional. On the other side, the staff working in My coffee is a disaster, they are extremely slow, I had to repeat my order several times and 30-40 minutes waiting for a sandwich and a cappuccino is too much! They even said to us one morning that they don't have bread to prepare us a sandwich! After conversation with F&B manager it was cleared out, that they just had to go to the buffet restaurant to take some bread, but they chose not to do so! The downside of the resort is lack of good management on some levels. In my opinion the resort wasn't ready to open. Italian restaurant has great menu, but half of our stay they didn't have some ingredients and it was impossible to order lot of thigs in the menu. Just after new year they didn't have soft drinks on the island to stock the mini bar in our villa, which is part of the all inclusive package. Not enough sunbeds around the pool! Hotel management should know, that some guests have the habit to go early and book the sunbed by leaving a towel and some other items and going back to their house until lunch. In other high level resorts, that I ' ve been, this sunbed booking policy is not allowed! I went to the main pool in 8.40 in the morning, all sunbeds booked, but the pool was empty and nobody around. To come to Maldives and to lie like in the public beach just with towel on the sand is not a standard for a 5* hotel. To fight for sunbeds is also not a flawless vacation! Main pool is in bad condition. It is clean and warm, but tiles were falling and few kids got hurt while playing in it. Probably the pool was not well repaired from previous resort, that was on this island. Hotel app is a mess. You better book in advance from home, because when we arrived most restaurants was booked. Also if I have booking for dinner at 20.30, I cannot book my kids to open air cinema at 21h, which is stupid. Kids want to have a quick dinner and go to cinema, not to stay at the table with us all evening. By the time I sort it out with the application, all days of our stay open air cinema was booked. May be management should consider to fix the app and to make 2 time slots for cinema a day. In conclusion, I think Cora Cora has the potential to become a great resort, but there is a lot of place for improvement from management side. In this challenging times it takes a lot of effort to organize an overseas trip and it would be great to have a few flawless days on vacation instead of dealing with problems.

The level of food is also very high and restaurants are properly managed by the director of food and beverage. Just opened, very well organised resort. Highly recommend! Jumm was hoisting us very careffully and politly, all and any requests were resolved timely and attentivly - hotel does not call it "buttler service" but it looks so. Jumm - great thanks for you again! Vicente (somelier) was always ready to assist with wine selection - wide range all inclusive wine list is well balanced. Hope Wifag efforts will end up with second museum at Maldives - nice excursion about Maldivian history is quite interesting. Using mobile app at the resort is very convinient. All the team members were ready to make our stay unforgettable! Thanks to all of them!!!

We came back yesterday from a perfect stay at Cora Cora Maldives! After visiting Dhigali in 2018 and Olhuveli in 2019, this time we chose Cora Cora Resort, located on the Raa Atoll, 45” by seaplane from Malé. From the moment we were greeted by the very friendly welcome team, we were able to enjoy our 15 night stay. The check-in was very smooth and fast and we were at our Beach Villa within 15 minutes including our luggage, which is very convenient after 24 hours of travel. We stayed in Beach Villa 140 on the South side of the island. The Beach Villas are very comfortable furnished with an outdoor bathroom, large wardrobe, bed and lounge area. In front of the Beach Villa is a verandah with relax chairs and from there you can walk straight onto the beach. The sun loungers with sun umbrella and the large beach were very nice and you could walk straight into the sea for snorkeling. Christmas and New Year's Eve were very big!! The atmosphere, food, entourage; everything was right! Congratulations for reaching such a high level in such a short time. The management, Martin and Justin, are very friendly, visible and approachable. The well-trained staff consists of 30 different nationalities, creating a nice mix of personalities. We would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff for our pleasant stay! The review would be too long to personally thank everyone, but we'd like to name a few people anyway. * Wyfag does the museum tour with great enthusiasm. This tour is highly recommended if you are interested in the historical heritage and culture of the Maldives. * Chef Ahmed is very passionate about the food. We both have food allergies but this was not a problem. * Mohamed Ali and Retchin made something delicious for our breakfast every day. * Diana from MyCoffee is very professional and a nice person. It's great that this resort has its own coffee/tea corner (you can definitely leave your tea bags at home when you visit Cora Cora). * The waitresses (Abbie, Naan, Oui, Joy, Nikita, Olesya) from Aquapazza, Ginger Moon, Teien and Tazäa are very customer-friendly. * Juum and Sondra from the reception are very attentive and follow up things well. * Ahmed our cleaner, was always very attentive, cheerful and did his job very thoroughly. The resort had only been open a few weeks, so everything looks very neat and new. The overall scenery is very instagrammable with the vibrant color scheme that has been implemented down to the smallest details. Cora Cora Resorts has its own app where you can fill in all your details and even make restaurant reservations before arrival. It also provides a lot of information about the resort, workshops, activities and the menus of all 4 restaurants. There is a lot to do; you will definitely not be bored here.. It was a shame to leave, even after our long stay. We are homesick, but we will cherish the memories we made in this beautiful place.
