we just had a wonderful 10 night stay at this luxury resort. Everything was as perfect as it could be, staff and resort facilities were all awesome. Our personal concierge Samandar was excellent and highly attentive to all of our needs. Look forward to coming back soon!
Everything you’ve ever imagined the Maldives to be is true and more at the Waldorf Astoria. This is the epitome of understated luxury. The resort spans across 3 kilometers of a private island offering everything you could ever imagine. It’s not my first time to the Maldives and this resort has basically spoilt my ideals of what luxury could be. The individual private villas are so chic and comfortable. Highlights include expansive views of the Indian Ocean, private pool and a glass floor in changing area. The most surprising of all is that the food on the island was world class. This is a huge task giving that everything has to be shipped to the island as there are no natural resources. The quality of food is on par with any big city like NYC. To note, I especially enjoyed the casual restaurant by the food where the limited menu is all down to perfection. But there are about 11 restaurants you can try. Wether it’s for a romantic couples get away or a family trip, this island has it all. …
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful new resort. From the beginning to the end, everyone made us feel so at home and special. The resort is so pretty, serene and well organized. Really love the bicycles. Such a wonderful way to see the breathtaking surroundings. Our butler, Ammayde, was so helpful and knowledgeable. He made our stay comfortable and took very good care of us, even surprised us with a cake on Valentines Day which happened to be our 10th Year Wedding Anniversary. Solaa, our housekeeper for the week, was absolute amazing and his attention to details were always so appreciated. We would have taken him back with us if we could!! We ate at all the restaurants except for Glow only because we weren't able to fit it into our schedule. Overall, we loved everything from the breakfast selections to a variety of dinner choices. Terra was excellent, probably the best lobster bisque we have ever had. Yasmeen was so flavorful with the most delicious bread. Li Long, Tangle, the Tasting Table and the Maldivian dinner night were all very good. The only disappointment was The Ledge where we felt the grill fish was a bit soggy, tasteless, and the charred salad was not that pleasing to the eyes. But overall, we absolutely loved our time at the resort. Sunset at the Champagne Bar was so romantic and memorable and a very Special Thanks to Ari, the Executive Restaurants Manager for always being so attentive. As well, the staff at Tangle (our favorite restaurant) for being so lovely, Thank You Riza, Shazeel and Maria for your smiles. This is our second trip back to the Maldives and hopefully we will see all of you again on the next one. Thank you again for the most special stay.…
This wonderful hotel with your amazing staff provided us an unforgettable stay. The room was very clean and very spacious. The room's pool is awesome. The interior decoration is very chic and exterior areas are superb. The food was good but a little overpriced. The pizza of Nãvas and the Peking duck of Li Long was delicious. Tasting Table has good food options. The set menu of Yasmeen was excellent but too much food. The Ledge has a excellent quality of grilled meat but the starters are too small. Glow was good but no much options to repeat. Overall our experience was excellent and unforgettable.
Had a wonderful week at this beautiful new property. The staff were all terrific especially our concierge Youtay who went out of his way daily to get us around and make it fun. Had bicycles, paddle boats, etc to use at no charge. Food fabulous but expensive. The only disappointing meals was at the organic restaurant. Enjoyed yoga and stretch classes over water which were also included. The male trainer in the gym and for stretch class was amazing. Beautiful property.
