Amazing service and spectacular room. Everything in this place is WOW, it was the best honeymoon anyone can ask for. We are very grateful for the cute in room decoration and all details to make our stay so special. Our breathtaking over the water villa had an outside jacuzzi and most walls with glass wow wow wow. We had the pleasure to meet the executive chef Christian, who personally escorted us to Sunset grill. We were very impressed of how nice he was and also because he knew my name when he stumbled across us lost in the sands of the Conrad. After escorting us to our destination he wished us a good meal. Extraordinary! Wanted to recognize all the stars that we had the pleasure to interact during our magical stay that made us feel like royalty at all times: Aisha at the airport lounge greet it us with a kind smile and assisted us with everything we needed after a long flight. Shaheed from the quiet pool area was genuinely very attentive to us and even helped us taking the most amazing memorable pictures. Azra at Ithaa was very knowledgeable and attentive always checking up on us and making sure everything was on point. Upali the chef Ithaa restaurant, explained his menu with pride and joy, he really enjoys what he does and it shows when he explained all degustación menu dish by dish during the amazing dinner at Ithaa. Also the Chef at the Rangali bar was very caring as my husband was not feel good so he prepared a clear soup for him, kuddos for his iniciative and to his staff as they were all very nice to us, specially bar manager Alejandro and mr Aum. The top STAR award goes to Jaeesh our super concierge. This young very promising gentleman was on point all the time with all details of our stay and followed up with us at all times. He became more than a concierge, he was our new Maldivian friend. Super attentive, professional, caring and all around a good person. Thank you Conrad Maldives for making our stay the best one ever and creating breathtaking memories for our honeymoon! You got new fans from the US.

We have visited numerous hotels in the Maldives and this hotel is excellent for a number of reasons - but be prepared to spend vast amounts of money. The hotel has a great house reef with nice fish and lots of sharks. We saw sharks every single day of our stay (both baby sharks and larger sharks around the overwater restaurant on the main island). At night you can watch mantas on the bridge connecting the two islands - incredible. We also went on a few excursions during our stay with Emma who was lovely and really helpful. We did a sunset cruise where we were able to see some playful dolphins, a snorkel adventure (aiming to see mantas but unfortunately no mantas - Emma did take us to see some turtles instead though), and a whale shark snorkel. The whale shark snorkel was incredible and we were able to swim very close to the whale shark for a while. However these excursions are expensive and super disappointing when you don't see anything so we were lucky to have seen dolphins and the whale shark, but it is possible to spend hundreds of dollars and see nothing. Really recommend the whale shark excursion especially but perhaps speak to the Ocean staff first to see if it is the right season and if they've had a decent amount of sightings on recent trips. We also did two dives but didn't see anything different from what we saw snorkelling on the house reef. However we only went to 12m so perhaps there are more exciting things to be seen if diving deeper. The villas at the hotel are very nice (luxurious and spacious) and Azlah Ali who cleaned our room did a great job everyday, and even left us cute towel animals most days. You can really feel that it is a luxury hotel. For example, while we were there we were invited to two cocktail and canape receptions and on Easter a large fancy Easter egg was left in our room. We didn't come with kids but there is a kids club which looks very good - lots of activities for kids (e.g. Easter egg hunt, glass bottom boat excursions, outdoor film screenings). There is also an array of complimentary water activities for all, not just the standard kayaks and paddleboards but also catamarans and windsurfing too. We also took advantage of the complimentary photoshoot with the lovely photographer which lasted half an hour and you get 5 free digital photographs with the option to purchase more (digital) photographs at $20++ per photo. Which leads me on to the negatives: this hotel is extremely expensive, in particular the food and drinks. Most days we skipped lunch because of the prices and had dinner at the Rangali beach bar because that was the most affordable but even then the prices were very high for the quality of the food. It wasn't bad but it wasn't worth the prices being charged. But if you come with deep pockets and don't mind spending almost as much as you spent on the room on food and drink there are some cool fancy restaurants such as the underwater restaurant. We ate at Mandhoo once and that was tasty and great views (but again very expensive for small portions). Breakfast buffet was great - lots of choice and fantastic quality. The only other big negative was getting around the two islands. The bridge between the two islands is extremely hot during the day so it's unpleasant to walk across. You can get across by boat but this wasn't always on the side you wanted it to be on, or can order a buggy to take you across. The buggy option was extremely frustrating as it took absolutely ages to come, which meant we had to resort to running across the hot bridge a few times. Other resorts in the Maldives (e.g. One & Only) give guests their own buggies or at least bicycles to get around. This would be much better here than having to wait around for the very few buggies for 15 minutes at a time, or at the very least getting more buggies and buggy drivers. In short other than the frustrating buggy issue it is a fantastic luxury hotel and you can really enjoy yourself as long as you are prepared to spend a lot of money.

Their house reef was quite full with marine life so snorkeling was fun and worth the while. We really enjoyed the food there with a diversity of types of foods that they offered with the multiple restaurants on the island, however the service was mediocre as the only method of transport was buggies which you had to call for meaning that it could take a while to arrive

Dear jasonriccardo, Thank you for travelling during these unprecedented times and for your review. We are so glad that you loved the meals, the variety of our 12 dining options and the location. Yes we are very fortunate with our house reef and having such a vibrant reef so close to the shore really adds to our guests experience. We do have golf buggies to assist our guests with getting around the Island and with our elevated protocols we have in place we do have to limit the number of guests per buggy. My apologies you were delayed. We do also have the Dhoni the boat that transfers our guests from one Island to the other, it is a fun trip and most of our guests really enjoy this. Please let me know if we can assist you with anything in the future. Thank you Carla Puverel carla.puverel@conradhotels.com

I didn’t realize how much we would appreciate a great house reef that you can swim to from the coast. Our villa was on the sunrise side and we could be at the reef in 5 minutes of swimming. I was really impressed with the size of the room - we connected to our kids since we needed two standard beach villas. The service here is impressive- I communicated mainly through my Hilton app and things were taken care of right away. Our host was great as was our housekeeping! He cleaned 3 times a day! Rooms are really private and nice. As a Hilton Diamond member, we are breakfast and Vilu and went back for the free Happy Hour from 4-5 with our kids too. Prices here are expensive so getting my kids a special drink at 4 was nice. We liked Ufaa the best for food- but one of the reasons I rated the resort a 4 out of 5 was because I think the food could be better, plus the costs are sometimes ridiculous. An example - a sushi platter at Rangali bar (for one person) was $54. We had many great moments here- we went on a boat with Emma- the marine biologist and swam with reef sharks and turtles, we enjoyed touring the wine cellar and getting to know Nizam and Linda- as we were regularly at Vilu! I liked having 2 islands to be able to walk more during the day and we hardly saw many people unless we were by the water sport area. The pool area was largely empty! My kids don’t use kids club but you could always hear the laughter when we passed by. It would be great for Rangali to add a game room for teens- my kids liked this at the next resort we moved to. Seeing the manta rays on the bridge at night is really special- and sharks underneath the Sunset Grille. Thanks to everyone who helped us have a great stay!

Dear SuzanneBColorado, Thank you for travelling to our pristine paradise, I am so glad that you and your family had a wonderful time in our resort. The team and I strive for improvement daily. We are so fortunate with our house reef and that it is a very quick swim from the shore of our villas. The Hilton Honors happy hour is always a treat and we do try to ensure all our guests are well taken care of. I am happy to let you know that we are in the process of planning our "teens club" and it will be ready later this year and I am sure it will be very popular with our families. I have noted your comments regarding our meals and pricing, thank you we will review this. Please let me know if we can assist you with anything in the future. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Thank you Carla Puverel carla.puverel@conradhotels.com

We have been to the Conrad Rangali a few times now and this time will not be our last. If one is looking for natural beauty (the two connected islands are truly amazing) it is well worth the short sea plane trip. We snorkelled with whale sharks (they are common in this area outside the reef) and did some amazing dives, but the house reef is also superb one does not need to go anywhere. In the evening we saw more fish just sitting around the Sunset Grill restaurant then one could imagine! including Eagle rays, nurse sharks and black tips! Crossing the bridge at night we saw Manta rays. The staff were so friendly and helpful nothing was ever too much. Even down to the chap that cleaned our room. My children loved the resort and the breakfast at Vilu thanks to Nizam the restaurant manager and Hamdhee the waiter was superb! We loved how one can get the boat across to the other island too. The quiet zone infinity pool for adults was just what we needed when the children were occupied in the kids club. The staff there did a great job for Easter so many activities it was hard to get my son to leave and spend some time with us. Issam our butler was always checking on us and booking our meals making sure everything was in order and the dive team well they too were so caring and ensuring the children felt safe at all times. One can tell the staff are happy and relaxed and that must come down to Carla the resort manager who is obviously doing an amazing job. I would highly recommend the Wine Cellar sit down meal with its various courses and accompanying tasteful wines to try. The sommelier (sorry we forgot his name) surely knows his wines! The balance between the natural beauty of the islands if you want to go with children or absolute privacy this resort with the two connected island offers the best of both worlds. We stayed in a Deluxe beach villa and deluxe is the best way to describe it....

Dear Extraordinary562370, Thank you for returning to our paradise and for sharing your experience with future and fellow guests, the team and I strive for improvement daily. We are so fortunate with our location, the nature and the beauty. Our twin island experience gives our guests so much more space, options for dinning and choice of where they want to spend their days in the beach in the sunshine. The house reef is so full of fish, eels and lots of marine life and corals, and is only 10 strokes away from the Deluxe beach villas. The whale sharks in the area so close to the resort is every divers and avid snorkelers dream, yesterday our guests say about 15 Mantas and a huge whale shark just outside the resort on the reef. Thank you so much for your personal mentions the team really make the difference here and add so much to all our guests experiences. They will be so happy when they read your review, thank you. We look forward to welcoming you and your family home soon. Thank you Carla Puverel carla.puverel@conradhotels.com
