Every time again. It was great. Very high quality of all restaurants and very friendly staff. Its a great island. Not so big. Very clean. Very cool diving center. We can just recommend it. And that you can everywhere barefoot is great. ; )
Great little island resort with a perfect blend of being small and away from it all, whilst having plenty to do and having a variety of great food and drink options. The staff were excellent throughout, striking a good balance of getting to know us and making recommendations, whilst also just letting us get on with our own thing. The location was exactly what we were looking for. Idyllic island and a really relaxed vibe. Lots of quiet beaches, calm waters to swim in and great snorkelling on the reef a short swim from the beach. Food was excellent throughout, with several good restaurants to choose from and the all inclusive package really did cover just about everything. The over water villa we stayed was perfect with a great terrace for sunsets and a well stocked wine fridge. The little pastries that appeared in the evening were a nice touch as well. Would highly recommend Kandolhu for anyone looking to get away from everything in the Maldives. One of the best resort experiences we’ve had. …
Words and pictures will not do justice to this amazing island, facilities and team. The sea life and corals on the island is very rich. Baby sharks, peaceful reef sharks , and thousands of fish of all sizes and breeds and colors to see at the local reef meters away from shore. The food of top quality and variety at the various options. Team and staff very sweet. You feel you are alone on the island. Diving center accommodated a 3 days open water diving course and license. I will come back here. My second home after Marrakesh.
My husband and I travel a lot which has been stopped by the pandemic. We knew exactly what will be our first trip when we can finally travel - Kandolhu. It was our second time there (first place we have ever came back to as we like exploring new places) and it DID NOT disappoint. As always, everything was just perfect!!
My husband and I visited Kandolhu on our honeymoon in December and truly could not have loved it more. The island and accomodation are both beautiful and made such a wonderful setting for our stay. Our absolute highlights were the incredible house reef, the amazing service and the delicious food. The reef completely blew us away, we didn't have a single snorkle trip where we didn't see multiple sharks, several turtles and our favourites, the batfish who followed us around. The island is really cleverly designed with lots of access points in addition to the two jetties that make it easy to get out and let you choose between a long and a short snorkle. We were frequent visitors of the dive and watersports centre, where you can pick up a paddle board or kayak for a spin around the island (a really fun part about it being on the smaller side), and the diving was outstanding as well, which as newbie divers we really appreciated as it helped us feel comfortable and confident despite some rather stormy conditions on some of the days! We loved how many restaurants there were to choose from, and each one of them impressed us and had something special to offer - our absolute top recommendation is the tandoori lamb at Sea Grill (though the tasting menu at Olive deserves a shout-out too) and the Market had a huge and delicious menu so we were always really excited for both lunch and breakfast when they rolled around too - try the KcMuffin! Across every single restaurant, and every part of our stay the service was genuinely outstanding, with super friendly staff who were also amazing at remembering what our favourite things were. We couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon. In short - Kandolhu is amazing, to there.…
