My wife and I have just returned from celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary on Kandolhu. This paradise island is small and has a fantastic house reef to snorkel around. The organisation and happy nature of the staff really stood out to us and the level of service is exemplary. All of the food on the restaurants is of a very high standard and I would highly recommend the manta ray excursion. It was well worth the money and was a unique experience that I will probably never experience again. All in all I can not recommend this island enough. Thank you to all the staff. You were awesome.

We are a few days back now from 10 days on Kandolhu and are missing it! It was my husbands second visit to the Maldives (different island) and my first and from start to finish thoroughly enjoyed all Kandolhu had to offer. From the moment we were warmly welcomed onto the island, we were just so impressed with the attentiveness of the staff. They were all very friendly and helpful and knew your names without you having to say! The resort had been advised of my dietary requirements (coeliac) and as soon as we had arrived for our first meal they immediately knew I required gluten free. They even got in some gluten free lager (thank you Laura!). They were able to adapt food for me and, with a little notice, they were able to prepare a gf pizza. I didn’t feel like I missed out at all. It was simply just amazing, the room just fantastic with your own little bit of the beach to yourself. It was like being on a deserted island, as you only really saw people at meal times. The spa is a must visit, we went a number of times! We were lucky enough to be there for the full moon rising which was simply stunning, they even made sure I had some gf canapes! We rarely say we want to go back to a resort but we certainly will be back to Kandolhu. Watch out Frandi, we will want to take home more recipes!!

Just returned from 10 days in Kandolhu, and it was amazing. Having been to Maldives 18 times now, this was the standout winner for us. Very small island, relaxed and informal, with fantastic service everywhere we went. For such a small place, the 5 restaurant options were brilliant, with every taste catered for. Particular shout out for the Sea Grill which has a wonderful setting and lots of tandoor and grill options. We did 5 nights in a duplex room on the beach and 5 nights in a water vllla with pool. Both were stunning, and I think personal preference would be the deciding factor. The in room bar is unsurpassable; wine fridge fully stocked daily, premium brand spirits and mixers, and daily ice and lemon courtesy of our room assistant. House reef fantastic, and you can swim all the way round the island from the channels as well as from the deck of the water villa. We did the night fishing trip, just the 2 of us with 4 staff; thats service! We caught red snapper which they then cooked for us in the Sea Grill an hour later. The thing that sets this island apart is the service and attention from the staff and management; nothing is too much trouble, Laura and Mark (management) are highly visible, the staff are so attentive and warm, it was hugs all round when we left. Overall, if you want luxury with a laid back atmosphere, great food, drinks and privacy in a bare foot beautiful setting, this one is for you. We will definitely be going back there next year and beyond.

We chose this small resort after reviewing many because we wanted a calm place with good house reef and good food, avoiding big buffets. It exceeded all our expectations from beggining to end, everything was just perfect! Staff were very helpful and friendly whenever needed, and lots of extra details, but at the same time we had perfect privacy. The beach villa was impressive, perfectly comfortable and beautiful, with a huge outdoor garden bathroom that kept us amazed the whole stay, and a private tree-palm-surrounded terrace that steps on the beach (that one we shared with an always alert chamalaeon!). The beach is amazing and you could at most see 1 other couple walking from time to time, so you feel its yours. With complimentary equipment including a go-pro, we could easily explore the reef and experience some amazing sea life (amazing fish, turtles, sharks and a manta). They also offer different excursions we didn't book. And the restaurants, 4 different proposals so you never get bored, all a la carte and are very high standard, more than you can expect even for a 5 star hotel. Really, I couldn't find one thing that could have been better, only if we had had more time there! Thank you for this beautiful experience!

We have just returned from one of the most stunning weeks of our lives. By way of context for my review we have stayed at some amazing hotels in the world (Raffles Singapore, Cipriani Venice, Cove at the Atlantis Bahamas etc etc) and this hotel is OUTSTANDING. We were premium all inclusive and that really is the only all inclusive we have ever enjoyed. The food is absolutely exceptional. A choice of 5 ways to dine and every single option is exceptional. So much choice, you will never tire of the options. We are not pudding eaters, so can only comment on starters and main courses and we were really really happy with those. We only realised towards the end of our week that the bar also does delicious hot snacks too! These were wonderful too. It’s the service that sets this place apart. Everyone, everyone goes out of their way to make your time magical. Particular mention goes to beautiful Elvira and Estela who made me their special tea to help with my cold (it worked!) Geraldine, Vita and Mahmmod (sorry about the spelling) to name just a few. But every single member of staff makes you feel special in a non intrusive, nothing is too much trouble, friendly manner. From the moment the Kandolhu speedboat collects you from the seaplane landing (they choose not to have the sea plane land at the island so constant peace is maintained) you have stepped into world class service and attention. We had 2 lots of couples treatments at the Spa: top class! Also you get exclusive use of the sauna steam room and outdoor plunge pools for free and the spa staff will book the space for you and bring you tea: an idyll in the middle of the island. We stayed in the Duplex Villa, we booked via Kuoni and were vacillating between this accommodation and the water villas. We were very very happy with our choice although we spoke to other guests who love their water villa. The duplex was fabulous. Outdoor bathroom has an outdoor and indoor shower and massive bath for two, you can hear the birds in the trees and you really feel tropical luxury. Look online to see exactly what it looks like but to stay in the duplex is FABULOUS. We loved the fact that we had our own dipping pool, own part of the beach and sun loungers What we liked most are the attention to the little things everywhere. We have a wine cooler and fridge in the room and that’s stocked with exactly what we like to drink (Palm Whispering Angel!) and I wanted cashews and peanuts, so these were brought to the villa....I could go on and on about how everybody was just there to make our stay exceptional. We will return and met other guests on their 2nd and 3rd visits. If you choose here you will not be disappointed!
