It was a last-minute decision. We're not aware that this hotel is one of the quarantine hotels. We booked this hotel as the room looks clean and spacious. I was being careless didn't check reviews from other places like TripAdvisor. Just referring to the review from Agoda, they never mention anything bad that we're not able to accept. When we reached the hotel around 1pm, the room was not ready. We have to wait until 2pm. It is kind of freaks us out when seeing some people wearing PPE walking around the hotel lobby. Other than the waiting time, the check-in process was smooth. We quickly run into our room and sanitize it with our personal surface sanitizer gun. It is clearly shown on the Agoda that Dorsett Room has a bathtub but I can confirm for you, there is none. Since they're a quarantine hotel I'm not comfortable to further debate with them. Just accept the fact that I got this room and will not step out of my room till check-out. Overall the room is fine except for the missing bathtub. The parking for hotel guests is the no roof open parking in front of the hotel. It was free parking, you just need to return the parking ticket together with your room card when you check-out.

We stayed at the Dorsett in its guise as a quarantine centre, so please take my comments as in relation to that and not as a general statement on it as a hotel. The check in procedure as a “premium quarantine centre” was very good. We had some problems with our rooms - the first one was infested with little insects and the second one didn’t have any air con. I think the problem with the first was that it hadn’t been properly decontaminated after the previous occupant had left (there was a spillage in the fridge as well) and I think this is a concern given the current pandemic but also in someways understandable because the rooms were occupied without housekeeping for 14 days at a stretch. Our problems with the rooms turned out to be a blessing in disguise because on asking we discovered that we could have a suite of rooms for only an additional 100MR a night! This made all the difference. We moved to a 5 room suite (bedroom, living room, office / dining room, dressing room, bathroom and additional toilet). If there is more than one of you or you just can’t face a week in one room I highly recommend that you request the upgrade. Despite the issues with the rooms, we found the staff on the whole to be really helpful and understanding. Food was delivered 4 times a day (breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner). The food was very good considering it was mass produced and delivered boxed up. We had some issues with it being delivered cold - at least once a day this was the case. We ordered an outside delivery once and this was also delivered stone cold and an hour after we saw it being delivered! But on the whole the food was good and there was way too much for us to ever really eat. There was an option of ordering room service too if you want something additional. No one likes quarantine but this hotel makes the best of a bad lot and once we moved up to our suite, it became much less of a chore than it might have been.

Was hoping for a nice staycation over the weekend. But, it was still a quarantine hotel hence all facilities were closed. Even the breakfast was sent to your room. So just stuck in the hotel room with nothing else to do in the hotel itself. And the room, was really sad. Obviously details is not Dorsett forte. Faulty door room, stained walls and floor, faulty facet to name a few.

I travelled to KL for work and needed to serve 14days quarantine in Dorsett Grand Subang. What a nightmare from day 1! The food is atrociously bad though aplenty with 4 delivered meals daily: breakfast , lunch, tea and dinner. Throughout the 14days, I can count with my palm the times I completed a full meal , ONE meal to be precise! I remembered calling to F&B manager in-charge of quarantine food to compliment that particular day’s meal. However my happiness on food was short lived cos that became the ONLY decent meal. You’re only allowed to order Grabfood or Foodpanda from a list of 15 restaurant retailers with 90% being fast food chains! How healthy could that be? To make matter worst, it’s only constraint to dinners no other meal times. Food dispose and rubbish left outside your room was only cleared every 2-3 days inviting roaches guest into your room. I’ve lost count on the number of times I called to the reception to complain I’ve found roaches in my bedroom from the rubbish piling up outside my room. This is a 5 star hotel and the entire floor was probably running 80% occupancy judging from the food delivered and rubbish that created a rubbish hill along the corridors…. Things only improved when I threatened to call the local authorities to complain and slap them penalty…. On my 1st day of stay, I found a shaver cover in the long bath drainage while cleaning up my hair from the tub. One would imagine room should have been cleaned and sanitised before any guest arrivals but I was gravely wrong when I found the shaver cover in the bath tub drainage. Throughout my 14days stay, I’ve been greeted by atrocious food, no service, remarkably bad house keeping that sums up a nightmare experience

We did our two weeks quarantine in Dorsett Grand Subang, I must say I would not recommend to anyone. The staff is treating you like prisoners. Garbage is left in front of your room for few days before collecting. When looking outside you see that also there the garbage just gets thrown in the back garden. Food is ok however very cold and often the same. The room was full with dust and floor with long hair from previous occupants. Then we had many ants, we changed room but also there the same, water from the pipe was red colour. We also had a cockroach in our room, they came to spray with chemical, but as you can’t open any window you and your family have to breath that as well. We checked in healthy and we were afraid to leave with a disease.
