The hotel is noticeably dated (slightly) but tastefully decorated with a classic touch. The room was very clean and comfortable. The service was excellent as well - they took the time to put some extra touch knowing since it was our anniversary. Staff were very warm and friendly. Location is great - cinema, restaurants and shopping all right next door.

It was the Hari Raya/Eid holidays and we decided to check in for the night and took up a few rooms with the extended family, just for a change from the festivities. We got our rooms on the same floor as requested with no delays despite us arriving before the standard check in at 2pm. It was our 2nd stay here, having last been here a few years ago...somehow, maybe it was the holiday season, but the hotel seemed to have lost some 'warmth' The rooms were clean and well appointed, no doubt but despite the busy crowd during the morning breakfast (noting that the hotel was indeed busy), there seemed to be a lacking of staff presence. Lesser "hellos" and smiles despite the hotel running as per usual. We had no issues with service no doubt.. Just felt like we came back to an empty home.... Apart from that all was good. The breakfast spread was great as usual, the rooms and areas were clean..... We highly recommend this hotel for the size of the rooms, proximity to the malls, the MRT station and ample parking space for those driving in! Maybe it was Raya. Anyways, Selamat Hari Raya!

Hotel is aging but it is still elegant. Room: Slightly smelly due to the carpet. Room Toiletries: Complete with shaver and toothbrush Room Cleanliness: The furniture can sight the aged but still very clean. Parking: Free and easy access. Receptionist: Fantastic and allow us to check in at 9.30am. A great help when we traveling early. Hotel Location: Walking distance to the 4-5 shopping mall. Surrounding: Easy to get breakfast, lunch, dinner, and supper. Plenty of selections from local dishes to international dishes. MRT: Walking distance (5 mins )to MRT Mutiara Damansara Station. Although a bit expensive compared to a boutique hotel it worth the convenience for food and shopping. Will come back again. .

I was staying at Royale Chulan Damansara for 2 nights. Made 2 calls to rectify the hot water in the toilet and was not settled. Made a third call to inform the maintenance not to come at a particular time as I am resting. Maintenance turned up pressing the bell despite room's Do Not Disturb light was on. The saving grace of the whole matter was Assistant Front Office Manager Suriani Chen. She managed the situation well, and attempted to solve the problem promptly herself. She deserve some praise and compliment from her management. She had done a good job to attend to the guest's problem and needs. Thank you.
