My husband and I checked in at Damai Puri on 15th September 2016 and it was our first visit. I decided to stay here because it’s very near to Sarawak Cultural Village and it has private beach. Firstly, I want to highlight that almost everything is not properly maintained in this hotel. The only good thing is their staffs are... More

- No spa, so don't be fooled by the name - Big restaurant, only 8 (!) clients and we waited for our drinks almost 20 minutes. - Spouse had eaten his food before I even got mine, and as i got my sandwich, it was cold. - No flipflops or bathrope in the room (spa hotel..) - Rooms are spacious... The swimmingpool and nearby beach are really nice. Also the staff is very helpfull and friendly..... But the rest of the resort wasn't good. Unfortunaty the room we had was very humid. When we arrived everything was wet and there was a big wet pool on the floor. Also the bed smelled like fungus. The only way to keep it... More

I think this hotel is a tax loss for the owner....5 restaurants but only 1 open...lift broken for more than a year and guests have to cart their luggage up stairs as no staff to help...phones and lights not working in most rooms...bar closed...spa in ruins and closed off to public...dive centre losing roof...all the customers were angry and upset...gift... We stayed here for the Rainforest World Music Festival in August. Damai Puri's main competition (in terms of hotel size and beach access) is the Damai Beach Resort. We chose the Damai Puri because it’s a much closer and easier walk to the festival and to the local eateries along Damai beach. Both resorts are quite secluded, they have a... More

Almost everything is falling apart at this resort. the only good part of this place was the location and the friendliness of the staff. The place has not been properly maintained for several years. Towels were old and ripped and with holes. Bathroom door and other doors were rotting. wardrobe falling off the wall. Not properly cleaned rooms. Old spider... More

We (couple) stayed here for two nights during the Rainforest Festival. Price (RM300 a night) was high for the state of the hotel. No other option as the other nearby hotel (where the musicians stayed) was fully booked. Aside from a lovely strip of beach, and pleasant staff, this is a shabby hotel that is well past its prime. Duvet... More

Sayed there for 2 nights. Big hotel complex but everything except 1 restaurant is closed. No bars (we are not drinkers just reviewing), no massage center, surrounding dirty hotel not maintained, staff not trained (exept the smile they gave you even you are complaining), not trained, not aware, don't give you any help or advice. The whole hotel is running... More

This hotel has a very beautiful and nice pool right beside the beach, the view is stunningly beautiful. But the room and facilities are a little tired and need renovation. the lifts are not working at that time, people with big luggage have to take not on that,
