After 2 weeks of exploring Borneo this hotel provided the ideal rest and relaxation before flying home. We really enjoyed chilling out in the big recliners and the hammocks. Don't be put off by the initial setting, inside it truly is a gem and the food was the best of our whole holiday. The staff were friendly and the accommodation... More

My 2nd visit to this resort since my last year stayed. This time was a bit different experience compared my previous because it's happened to be the yearly Rainforest World Music Festival 2016. It's full house and my 1st experience to stay in a dormitory style. Very clean and just nice with 6 beds in a room. I would categorize... More

After a busy week in Penang this was a delightful contrast. The Village House is full of atmosphere and is a delight to the senses. It is very relaxing and is ideal for someone looking for peace and quiet

I stayed here with my boyfriend for two weeks, using it as a base for our day trips around the area. The hotel is gorgeous, very quiet and secluded. The staff were wonderful very thoughtful and very happy to help. Food was also fab, I would recommend doing the Taste of Borneo! xx

Notes: Wearing shoes/sandals are not allowed in the room No Wifi/TV/any entertainment in the room The room is clean and quiet. However, the male staff is quite bias towards local customer. Foreigner can wear anything to the pool and yet he scold my boyfriend... More

This is a boutique hotel with very few rooms, so it that way it feels you're not one of many. The food is good except the rooms are small. Large bathrooms though. The hotel is set on a smallish plot of land, so there aren't many places to wander about. Essentially it's the pool and the tv room. There's no... More

We stayed at the Village House on 9th July for 3 nights. What can I say about this place, everything was great. The layout and decor is first grade and has the real feel of a relaxing yoga retreat. If you want 2 or 3 days simply to unwind and kick back in a rural setting with the soothing sounds... More

Approximately 40 mins from Kuching International airport to The Village House (taxi ride is about MYR60/ car). This place is a total gem, very well hidden (no kidding as there's nothing much to explore around this homestay except for a quiet beach). If you're going for a short weekend to relax & chill with friends or couple, then this would... More
