We liked this place. There is a wealth of information that the staff will share with you. Very clean place, nice showers. Restaurant and bar kind of overpriced but rooms quite reasonable. Great location.

Stayed here for 11 nights - great place to stay; lovely clean room, hot shower and staff were all welcoming and friendly. Central to everything, a couple of minutes walk to the waterfront, shops and great stalls. Added bonus was the upstairs bar with pool table and the best barman ever!! Tiger was great, friendly, funny & always had a smile on his face. Made a friend for life :-)

I stayed at the lodge for 3 nights in Feb 2015, amazing place with great decor and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was included in the price of the room which was also a great benefit! The roof top bar was the hightlight for me, an excellent place to chill out and relax! The barman, Tiger, was amazingly hospitable and made everyone welcome! He also had loads of information on the area and the best places to eat and see. Overall great place to stay, and would recommend to anyone.

Lovely place to chill and meet fellow travellers, highlight is the bar upstairs with Tiger the bar man, you will become his best friend, he is so welcoming and personable and great fun, he makes this place!

We had a deluxe room private bathroom, all good and clean, yes you may see the odd insect as we did in most of our Borneo accommodations it is tropical and mostly caused by people leaving old food around and not adhering to the request of no food in your rooms.
Great location to walk out to waterfront, restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again!

Just spent 4 nights at Singgahansa, what a great place to stay. The whole place has a great atmosphere, especially the upstairs bar, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was basic but very clean and the AC worked fine. The Lodge must have one of the best locations in Kuching, right on the riverfront, next to the Main Bazaar and surrounded by small eateries (warungs). Would certainly stay there again.

This lodge is run by a very nice couple that loves travelling. Their heart and soul is put in this place. There are pictures of their travels everywhere, what makes it a really cosy place to stay away from home. They have a cool chill out lobby and a great rooftop bar with an ever greater and cool bartender. He knows his way around town and is a great story teller.
The rooms are clean and cosy with good wifi and a nice hot shower, which is welcoming after a day outdoors. (I stayed in a room with private bathroom but they also have dorm rooms.) The lodge is very central, nearby the waterfront and they offer a wide range of excursions.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I would definitely go back!!

Located almost on the the riverfront, it is also next to the small restaurants of Chinatown and just a few minutes walk to the shopping district of Kuching. Once again I chose to "flashpack" it and take the honeymoon suite by myself at MYR132 per night. I had a spacious and rather luxurious room with private ensuite and air con. Excellent value for money. Free wifi in my room. Upstairs is the uber cool rooftop bar which seemed to close no earlier than 4am on the 3 nights of my stay, but posed no problem with noise. Many folks stayed there with young kids. As I said, a very cool place to have a few beers and there are several cool watering holes within a 100-200 metre radius for the hotel. Staff will help you with organising packages to anywhere in the region. The bus to Bako National Park leaves from the bus stop about 20m from the door.

A great budget place to stay in Kuching, which is a lovely town. The rooms are basic, yet clean and cleverly thought out, and the whole premises is adorned with furniture, mats and other locally produced artefacts. The staff and owners are so friendly and welcoming - we didn't want to leave. Anyone here will help you arrange day trips, trekking or onwards journeys. The "Rooftop Bar' is a great place to sit and while away the evening talking to fellow travellers, and locals alike. We couldn't recommend it more!

We stayed in a family room with one king bed, and twin bunkbed. We had our own bathroom inside the room, so maybe try that room. There are a lot of hostel style rooms with no toilets in the room, and there are shared bathrooms on each floor. The lodge is very clean, and really friendly. We stayed there with our older kids (13 and 14). It should also be fine for younger kids. We loved our stay there, and the location is perfect, but because it is right on a main street, the street noise is a bit loud.
