It was good that I gave Rafflesia another try after returning from Sabah enroute to Singapore. My otherwise excellent stay a month ago was marred by the incessant tremors and loud noise from the Indo Pub below, way into the wee hours. It was a shame as the Inn was a kind of restfull 'Oasis tucked in a cul de...

Rafflesia Inn is definitely a great place to stay while in Kuching. It is close to the main part of the city, the waterfront, shops, restaurants, shopping complex and bars. Apart from that it is also very welcoming and has a community feeling making it very easy to meet other travellers, which is great if you are traveling alone. The...

For only RM60/night (single a/c room with phone, tv, free wifi, private bathroom and room service), I spent one night in Kuching before I was off to my final destination. I was welcomed by the very friendly and helpful staff, which made me feel home immediately. There is a cozy lounge inside and a recently finished "longhouse" balcony on the...

I first checked in at Rafflesia's previous location after a disastrous first night in Kuching June 2010, upon talking with Mr Hanson, a co-owner the night before. As it turned out, I had stumbled onto a hidden gem on the waterfront. Single a\c rooms at US$15 with room service and phone and attached showers, it is hard to beat! Mr...

It's located about 10-15 mins walk from the Main Bazaar. We stayed in the twin room. It cost us RM65 a night, which includes en-suite private bathroom with water heather, towels, telly, aircond and free wifi. On top of that, there is an open lounge with tv & dvds, books to read and a public pc. The best is having...
