This little guesthouse is cozy and nice, Moi, the owner is the sweetest person, she really takes care about her guests and you can tell she is genuinely interested. The place is simple but really nicely furnished and a lot of care and attention is given to details. It has a colonial style with some Malaysian accent that make it... More

My girlfriend and I booked into home stay for an initial two nights but ended up staying another three. Owned by a brother and sister who have converted their childhood home into this charming guesthouse. It's clean and full of character with the walls covered in pictures and many of the original features like the wooden staircase and open walls... More

I was travelling for 4 weeks through Malaysia/Borneo and during my journey I didn't stay in a better place. Homestay Traveller is clean, well located, lovingly decorated, the breakfast was good and Moi and her brother as well as the other staff were very friendly and extremly helpful. I just can highly recommend this place!

This homestay is not outstanding from exterior, yes, on the ground floor, it's restaurant serving various chinese and malay cuisines, popular pork leg rice since 1858AD , oh so long. I arrived very late at Friday night, had to call the phone number for the owner to open to let me in. This family run business made me feel like... More

Cannot fault our stay; our room was a good size and had everything we needed, the shower and social area were clean and quiet, and Moi was extremely helpful. The cafe downstairs (and each day's breakfast) was an added bonus on arrival. Moi's recommendations for public transport to Bako NP and nearby restaurants were great every time.

Great little place in China town, walking distance from downtown. Superb service and friendliness from Moi, the owner. She will do anything to make you comfortable. Simple and clean, exactly what we expected.

I stayed at Traveller Homestay for a week and I cannot rate this place any higher. It's in a great location, just outside of the downtown core in Chinatown near great restaurants and cafes. I liked it being a bit removed from the main strip and it only takes 10+ mins to get down there anyway. The homestay is just... More

We felt very at home here by the end of four days staying. Moi was a fantastic host and relaxed and willing to answer questions. If you want to know about getting to any of the nearby local sites, then you only need to ask. It was brilliant to be able to eat breakfast in the cafe located downstairs. A... More

Homestay manager Moi is a passionated lady. I went to Kuching after a business trip in Singapre and hence, I did not have a detailed planning. Moi has provided good advice on places for sightseeing and helped me arrange, in particular, driving me to buy the laksa paste :) Regarding Homestay, it is a coffee shop downstair and you can... Moï's guesthouse is just perfect, the place is very well decorated and so charming! It's also pretty well situated since it's only 15 to 20 min walk to the city center. Moï, the owner is so nice and will do everything possible in order that you have the best stay. She will walk you to the bus stop so you... More
