Nangi Damai is quite a place! Seamlessly fitting into the beautiful jungle landscape with breathtaking views out to sea. We stayed in the cottage just next to the pool away from the main house; it was very private and has a rustic charm and a cosy feel and everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible, the...

A perfect place to relax and refine your yoga practice with a purpose built yoga studio on the top floor surrounded by jungle, directly underneath the Santubong mountain and with dramatic sweeping sea views .The rooms in the main house are luxurious and private with big window views and access to a comfortable lounge .Downstairs the entrance and communal verandah is...

Pros: Great place, warm hosts, beautiful surroundings, very peaceful Cons: our suite had transparent curtains so anyone could see into our bedroom! So we ended up hanging bedsheets on the curtain rod. Not very close to food/grocery so bring your own (although you're not allowed to use the kitchen). Poly was v helpful and dropped us to restaurants when needed....

This was our first visit to Asia and didn't know what to expect but having read a lot and seeing other people's comments we decided to try a home stay at Nanga Damai. It was absolutely lovely, totally relaxing and very comfortable. The first night was a bit of a hassle at the airport as Hertz didn't have the car...

From the moment we arrived we felt at home in this haven with Polykarp and his lovely wife. We popped over from Singapore for a long weekend and felt we had been away for a week. The view out over the ocean is superb, the pool is clean and refreshing and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. Great location...

We enjoyed our stay at Nanga Damai and loved Wallace's Cottage. Nestled below the main house it is a wooden structure and wonderfully cool and airy, no need to put on the ac - in our opinion, definitely the best rooms in the house! Polycarp and Louise were attentive hosts and happy to ferry us to restaurants which is a...

We spent 2 nights at the Nanga Damai Homestay in the end of august and it was absolutly fabulous. You are almost staying in the jungle. It's not impossible to see monkeys while enjoying the pool. The view on the China sea is also quite amazing. Polycarp is a really nice host. He knew all the good places to eat...

Nanga Damai is a fantastic homestay, where you can really feel at home. The rooms are comfy and immaculate and you can have the choice between the rooms in the main building or rooms in the wooden cabin, which feels like and old jungle explorers place. The owner poly is incredibly helpful and hospitable and has lots of knowledge on...
