Amazing experience from start to finish. Lars and Liza are great hosts. their hospitality and the whole experience made us feel at home instantly, and let us enjoy being in a middle of the jungle. Liza's cooking was some of the best we had in Malaysia, and we enjoyed Lars knowledge of the jungle on our jungle walk. The room... More

My family of 4, including two girls, ages 10 and 7, just came back from a wonderful 2 night stay at the Kurakura Homestay. All four of us wished we never had to leave that special place in the jungle. Here are the reasons our trip was a very memorable one: 1. We loved the stop at the Kota Sentosa... More

Our stay at KuraKura has left us with lasting memories. Pick up and drop off at our hotels went great. The Boat ride to Lars' and Liza's place in the jungle was very nice. Their home is beautiful. The rooms are very simple, but all you need. The food Liza and her cousin prepared for us was amazing. The Jungle... More

Lisa and Lars were wonderful hosts and the food was extraordinarily delicious. Lisa should think about offering a cooking class to augment her fascinating jungle 'shopping' trek. Taking nothing away from Lars' jungle trekking and kayaking trip, her demonstrations of food and medicinal uses of jungle plants was amazing and one of the high points of our four days with... More

We booked for three nights and enjoyed every minute. From the pick up from the hotel and journey up river, the wonderful jungle surroundings and excellent hosts, it could not have been better. Lars and Liza are a lovely couple and have created something very special; it was a privilege to meet them and their family and experience the unique... More

We enjoyed our stay at Lars' and Liza's place a lot. We where always looking for a rural place, far away from civilization. Here we found it. The Family's place lays in the jungle and can just be reached by longboat (don't worry, Lars will pick you up in town). The house has its own energy and water supply what... More

We enjoyed our days in the jungle very much. Lisa and Lars are wonderful. We really felt like home, like in a family. But also very relaxed, unbelievable tasty food, nicely decorated rooms. The surrounding landscape - the forest, the river, the hills - all is very beautiful. We had a perfect birthday here. The "wohlfühl"-Highlight of our trip. Thanks... More
