We booked this place via air-bnb so we were a bit surprised that it is that quite large hostel (many rooms on three levels). But that was the short initial surprise that did not affect our stay whatsoever. Despite its size it was clean, cozy, quite. As well, because it was a hostel, we had two great receptionists always willing...

Stayed a few nights here, room was basic but clean, had a typical friendly hostel feel. Breakfast was toast and coffee but unlimited which is always nice. Prob a touch overpriced but only slightly, 10 ringgit maybe.

The hostel is in a good location and is clean with a nice living room area, but the rooms are very small. Our ensuite bathroom was essentially a toilet cubicle with a shower fitted in and no sink. The breakfast is very basic - just bread and jam. Wifi is fine in living area but doesn't work in rooms. We...

I should say that this place made me feel sad when i wanted to leave because i had to leave a friend behind. The receptionist Su was so friendly and her hospitality made me and my other two friends feel like we were at home. She was so helpful (eventhough she forgot to give us our blankets, leaving us frozen at...

After traveling around West Malaysia, we ended up in Kuching for some more quiet surrounding, to dip ourselves into nature. We really loved Kuching, as its people are really relaxed. It felt less touristy, which I prefer. From Kuching a lot of tours and trips can be arranged. Either guided or by yourself. We booked two nights at Nomad, but...

Booked and paid for double room (2 nights stay from 6/8-8/8) on April 2016 and just happened to know on the day before we check in that they have actually cancelled our booking without notification! The staff who promised to call us back in the morning has never return any call! What a irresponsible party?! We are still pending your...

Hi Teh Siu Yin, Apologies for the miscommunication. You are right, somehow our reservation team was not up to their game and considering it was high season, we could not replace you with another room. We have sure learn from that experience. We would love to honour the room you have booked but we just don't think it was appropriate...

We booked (and payed for) a double room with an airport pickup request (and notification of late check-in) but the manager, named Deekie, didn't reply until 24h later. He told us airport pickup was not possible, which was quite inconvenient since we already arrived in Kuching and had to take a taxi. Upon arrival he gladly told us we had...

I stayed 4 nights in a single room. There's free breakfast and coffee and tea are available all day. My room was quiet and clean. The wifi was good. On the last day the hostel was absolutely packed and I was happy to check out as it was kinda noisy but I had a great time here. The staff are...

It is a good location for Carpenter St and many of the museums. The room was very small but bright. The en-suite was also small with no sink but usable and had a hot shower. As with much accommodation in Malaysia, you can hear corridor noise. The communal shower areas were clean and OK to use. DIY breakfast consists of...

This is exactly the type of place I was looking for during a lengthy stay in Kuching. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The dorm is really cozy, and the lobby area is wonderful for chilling and socializing. As a solo traveller I'm always looking for social spaces (not in party hostels) and this was it. I met great...
