Lots of youth groups here (mine was one of them!) but also good single / double rooms near the kitchen area. Even when full, there wasn't a queue for showers and the bar downstairs does great food as well. The owner is often around, well worth a chat to him and all of the staff who work there are really... A great little hostel to stay in while in Kota Kinabalu. Not long from the airport and only ten or fifteen minutes away from the market and restaurants on the sea front. WiFi is accessible and so is a great little book exchange corner filled with some awesome travel books.

stayed 4 nights while scuba diving, in a single room with A/C. Incredibly clean hostel; kitchen and bathroom are cleaned regularly by Nanny and her staff. the room is spartan to say the least; 2 single beds, 5 hooks on the door, and a small side table. It wasn't cleaned during my stay, and I got one towel that wasn't... More

Perfect location and value for money! I stayed here for 2 nights from March 18-20, 2016 and I was impressed with the property. My single room was quite good and very cold. I believe my room was the best single room at the second floor because it has a direct access to the terrace overlooking the road and the other... More

Stayed here six years ago, so decided to stay there. That people who work there remember you and welcome you back was just amazing. Shame that the new owner removed the lounge (wasva great place to chill if you didn't wanna go out), but the place is still great.. And the bar is just under. Great location to, close to... More

From the many hostels i've been to in Maleysia, this one is my favorite. The showers and toilets are clean, the hostel rooms are as you might expect (the beds are great to sleep on, had some trouble with that in previous hostels) but the ambiance and the cafe really give it something extra. Was here with a group of... More

First of all the Bar in the first floor is very nice and they have good food, but you can go there as well without staying in the hostel. The hostel itself is clean and ok. But what I did not like is dorm rooms where you have not even enough space to store your backpack. The mattress are so... More

Vusit it last year.when hiking to mt kinabalu and tried scuba in kk.with rm 50+ a night for ac single room, you cant really go that wrong. If I want to pick on something, I will say you can really feel the bed boards when you lie down, the mattresses are really that thin. Otherwise, its a backpacker's lodge. I... More
