I recently spent two nights at the Dreamtel. The hotel is starting to show it's age. The wifi is fine, the bathroom we had was tiny. They only give you one towel per person and if you request a second towel you either have to hand the first one in or pay extra. Buffet breakfast

Dear Sue A, Kopivosian from Dreamtel Kota Kinabalu! Thank you for sharing your honest appraisal and experience after your recent stay at Dreamtel. As the hotel is already 5 years old, a refurbishment project is certainly in the pipeline. We hope to complete the works by the end of the year. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the towels. We will speak to the team involved to make sure it does not happen again. I hope we can welcome you back in the not too distant future. Please do let me know when you plan a return visit and I would be delighted to look after your reservation personally. Warm regards, Annette Grace Bongkok Front Office Manager Dreamtel Kota Kinabalu

We revisited this hotel so satisfied we were with its location. It can be seen all over kk, good for people that are not superfamiliar with the city. Fine breakfast, little fruit but fine choice of dishes.

I had booked this hotel on Agoda in advance, and booking was easy. The hotel is at the Padang, so it is in a central location, but pictures of the hotel and its rooms were a bit more deceptive. The room that we had booked turned out to be a corner room, with no windows, and was

Dear Zena3101, Kopivosian from Dreamtel Kota Kinabalu! Thank you for taking the time to post a review, as all feedback is greatly valued. Please accept my apologies that the allocated room did not meet with your expectations. The room type is stated clearly on Agoda as Standard Room - No Window. Kindly refer to your booking confirmation. I appreciate you bringing to our attention the issue with the condition of the room. We are planning a soft refurbishment in the near future and these defects will be rectified. I do hope that you will choose to return on a future occasion, so that your faith in the hotel can be restored. Do let me know and I shall look after your reservation personally. Warm regards, Annette Grace Front Office Manager Dreamtel Kota Kinabalu

Thank you for your question. You can go to the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park from the Jesselton Point which is 15 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Alternatively it is a short taxi ride away at the cost of RM15.00.

How far from airport? Any rental cars nearby?
Around 15mins car ride from airport. Rental cars can be hired at the airport but may be more expensive, hiring from the hotel front desk would be cheaper. To save money on the trip to the hotel, you can take the bus to Padang Merdeka costing only a few RM, the hotel is just beside Padang Merdeka.
