This is the place you got to be when you visit KK! Clean hostel with comfortable beds and the best part, clean and dry toilets! The staff is very friendly, breakfast is very basic. The location is quiet ideal. Overall it's worth your money. I am definitely coming back here!

This hostel is conveniently located and facilities are clean, but it is definitely not 'the best in town' as some reviews claim it to be. 1. All rooms and dorms have no windows! This for me is pretty bad already, waking up in a dark room. Yes, there is an air-con, but windows are more important. 2. This place has... More

I was travelling with one friend on a backpacking trip, and decided to "splurge" get a private room, which came out to ~$10 a night each. Very comfortable and clean, kind and helpful reception, and great bathroom amenities It's also great from a social perspective - got to meet a lot of backpacking travelers my age (20-25) and made some... I stayed here for 3 nights - once in a private room with 2 friends and then 2 nights in a dorm. The hostel is very clean and the staff are very friendly. Feels like home. The beds are comfortable, and each bed has 2 power sockets, a small locker for valuables and a compartment to but your luggage. The... More

I usually don't stay at Hostels but Masada Backpackers Hostel was a welcome change. I had booked a 4* Hotel but at the right moment my friend ditched so I was not in a mood to spend so much on my own. And hence going by the reviews here I booked Masada. First I was bit skeptic on how could... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Masada Backpackers in a private room for 3 nights in Sept 2015. The rooms are small, but clean. We had a windowless room which featured a desk and a double bed (and a very large beach mural on the wall!) My only suggestion for the rooms would be to add some hooks on... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Masada Backpackers for 4 days during our trip to Sabah from 17-20 Sept. Our room had basic but clean and neat furnishing (bed, lockers for storage, table). They have quite unique and pleasant decor in the rooms which are great for relaxation. Only thing that bugged me a little was that the pillows were... More

Stayed with Masada Backpacker for a week during late Aug / early Sept. Staff was immensely helpful - helped us get a taxi for airport, booked us a last minute tour of orangutan sanctuary at Shangri-La, and told us some great local dishes to try. If you opt to extend your stay they will request you pay with cash (RM)... More

On arriving to this hostel we received a very warm welcome from the staff at reception. Our names were also on a blackboard in the lobby providing a further welcome. As well as being welcoming and meticulously clean, this hostel is extremely well set out for the comfort of backpackers. There are backpack shelves for each backpacker staying in each... More
