We had a nice stay here. We booked the room in the night we arrived and the manage it to give us 2 beds. The room smelled a little bit musty and the bathroom was not that clean but in summery good value for money. The social area was really nice.

A very pleasant place to stay when you're in Georgetown. The staff is so nice and helpful. The guesthouse is well maintained, cute and clean. Great showers! There is a simple breakfast and coffee and tea, and you can refill your water bottle for free. The rooms are fine ( AC works),the beds are good and the lockers are big...

Great location: it is situated on the quieter, northern part of Love Lane, a few minutes walk from the livlier southern section where the bars are located. Great if you have an early flight and need a peaceful night's sleep. Accomodation: I shared a twin room with my friend. The room was clean and housed a decent aircon unit. No...

We showed up to our reserved accommodation (The 80's Guesthouse) two days earlier than we had initially booked hoping they could take us in early. Unfortunately they were already fully booked but went out of their way to call their sister accommodation (Old Penang) to see if they could take us in. They personally walked us to the accommodation (just...

Cold air condition for the bunk rooms, new beds, locker, free towel and soap, polite staff. Clean common area with breakfast. Aesthetically pleasing decor for budget hostel Unlimited hot water from a central hot water system. Quiet part of Love Lane (no call to prayer or other non-sense partying) They are pretty much 'full' towards single walk-ins. So the key...

Very clean. They have a cleanup schedule and check list. Location is good. It's near Chulia street so very convenient to get some food and explore Georgetown. Since this is an old building, it is a bit noisy when ppl walk corridors. But it is almost nothing. Shower rooms are only at downstairs. There is a toilet at upstairs. Overall...

I had such a refreshing stay at the 80's Guesthouse after I was experiencing some traveller burnout and was frustrated due to lack of space within hostels in Asia. The common room, sleeping rooms and bathrooms are so spacious it's glorious!!! It has a lot of character, nice location, free breakfast and coffee/tea until 5 which is nice, it is...
