This is my second visit to the hotel. Recommended to a friend. But very disappointed with the room service. Bed sheets was not changed. Noted hair strands and stains on the bed sheets. Noted dried soap bubbles on the toilet sink and stain in the toilet bowl. Enjoyed my first visit in May. But the second visit very disappointing. Called for room service and questioned regarding the unchanged bed sheets. The room boy claimed there were so many rooms to be cleaned and said sorry for not changing it. Suggesting for the service to be better in future.

Small boutique hotel with restaurant and shops near by, few minutes drive to Ipoh center. Overall hotel and room's decoration and cleanliness is good. But it is not ok for my room. When i went into my room, i saw a big crack on the wall, as shown on the photo ! Went to reception request to change another room. Was told that no room available due to full house. My room is booked one month before and such room given, the room is NOT READY ! The way reception handle my request is worst, was given excuse like : a) i don't know why reservation release the room before check the room (do you think this is my problem ?) b) let me check with maintenance (why u need to check with maintenance ? i need is to change another room!). Reception really need to learn how to handle guest request and complaint and do not let guest bring this issue up to social media. I asked him, how if the crack suddenly become a hole, if we are hurt, who is going to responsible ? No answer again. Reception say will bring out this issue to management and morning shift colleague to follow up. Ok, it is fine, we cant do anything. Next day check out, asked reception regarding this issue. The girl told me : no update or any issue was report. What is happening ? I am like : SERIOUSLY ??? Night shift do not report anything to you ? Dear management, please do not vacant the room before it is ready.

We've had two-night stays here twice in the past year, and will likely continue to have more due to the friendly price and location that always suits our Ipoh agenda. The bedding, towels, and rooms in general are all clean. The effort that they have put into the decor is a bonus. So far, we've found the rooms to be very quiet and hear almost no outside noise. I actually like the windowless rooms more because they are much roomier. The only thing I would complain about is the drainage/ plumbing that might need some looking into as the last time we stayed, the water in the shower drained very slowly—sometimes I had to stop in the middle of a shower to wait for the water to go down. I imagine other travellers may have qualms about things such as having no included breakfast or room service, but personally, I would still prefer to stay here compared to the larger hotel next door and others like it.

For the price we paid Rm127.00 online with Booking.com, I must say it is value for money because the owner has put in a lot of thought and creativity into using recycling materials into beautiful workable furniture. The unique feature in the Lobby were the diesel engines which were turned into coffee tables and the bedside table in our bedroom was an old oil can mounted on metal legs! The 3-storey hotel even has an elevator installed which is good for customers to access their rooms. Parking is free and lots of parking space just right infront of the hotel. The room which we were assigned was on the second level. It was well maintained and had coffee/tea making facilities, a safe box, hairdryer and ample amenities like bedroom slippers, toothbrush, body and hair shampoo, shower cap and they had not forgotten cotton buds & cotton too. Our twin beds were comfortable and air con was good. Breakfast was not included but no big deal cos food was easily available in the vicinity or a short drive to town centre.
