We stayed there for two nights in a private chalet. Durian Chalet is located in the end of the village of Kuala Tahan in a beautiful garden. The location is perfect because the village is not a very nice place. The chalets definitely need a renovation or at least a general cleaning, but for the price (we payed 60myr per...

Our chalet was only 40 RM in the low season, came with a fan and ensuite. Very basic and didn't feel super clean but was totally adequate for the two nights we stayed. Really nice setting with lots of garden and bush around. Note that it's a bit of a walk (5 mins) out of town - we got completely...

So these chalets in Kuala Tahan are in a very idyllic spot, surrounded by green, flowers and free running chickens. BUT. The rooms do not have airconditioning, the bathrooms are in very bad conditions and with no hot water and at 6 am you get woken up by the nearby mosque and cocks!

Lovely little chalets with everything you need - much nicer than anything you'll see in the manky town! We sat on the terrace and watched the squirrels and chicks bumble around the garden every morning. Lovely place and cheap. Wifi works well

The surroundings are the only positive thing here, with the low price (50 rm for a room good for 3 people). The accomodation was not very good and clean, but the worst thing was an invasion of ants inside the toilet, running down from the flush and inside the door. No sink or any place to hang clothes or leave soap inside toilet....

Great place to stay in Taman Negara, it's a 5 minute walk from the 'center', but still feels as if you're deep in the jungle. The lady who owns it is really sweet and the price is really good, 50 rm for a chalet, including clean towels, toilet paper. Loved this place, just make sure you bring mosquito spray.

We liked our stay at Durian Chalet very much. The cottages are simple and nothing special, but cosy and in the middle of the jungle. At night you can hear jungle noises and in the morning you can even see some animals in the garden. It's a short walk to Kuala Tahan, only 5 minutes to restaurants, shops and the...

Simple bungalows about 300m out of town which makes this a good place to get away from the city and enjoy the noises of the jungle after the boats have stopped for the night. Prices start from 40rm, all rooms have the basics what you would want and a fan which is enough since the nights are not hot around...

This place has a nice quiet jungle setting. It is not a party place. All rooms have fans and cold showers. Basin is outside. It is a 5 minute walk into town. You can hear all the birds and insects. I wasnt able to book so just walked in. Rooms start at 40rm - 50rm. There are mango trees and...

We stayed three nights at durian chalets and we enjoyed our time there. The bungalow was very simple but rather clean. They provide you with towels and each evening, they come to place incense against mosquitoes just in front of your door. The owners are discrete but nice and welcoming. The breakfast was good and cheap. Go there if you...
