I was here for a business trip. The staffs are good and friendly. However, the food here does not meet my taste, I was quite disappointed with the quality of food served. Nevertheless, room was just okay and the bathroom was clean. Good if you are only staying for the night. Near to a famous local restaurant 'Nasi Ulam' and... More

Although have made many trips to Kota Bharu before, decided to try this hotel as was curious to experience essence of a once upon a time royal abode. Very disappointed. The hotel frontage is a narrow one way road and we could not park our car there. The furnishings are very run down. There is no closet to hang our... More

With a comfortable, clean room for a one night stay, this was an okay choice for our stay on the way to the Perhentians. Though we didn't spend much time here, it was comfortable for us to rest our weary heads. The breakfast, albeit included, was below average with lack of choice and lack of flavour. I worried a little... More

Love, love this place. My family always checks into this place when we go to KB. Located smack in the middle of the old palaces (now museums), you can imagine what it was like in the past, living in the palace courtyard. The hotel only within 5 mins walking distance to the market, shopping area, MCD, 7 eleven, Parkson shopping... More

No hot water in the shower, the sink didn't drain and weird black things kept rising up out of the drain (GROSS). The shower flooded the whole bathroom and started leaking onto the carpet. Recepton was not very helpful, were unable to... More

Coming back from the islands, I have spent one night at the Royal Guest House. Management and staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean. The value received for the money spent was above average. Well done.

No hot water upon check in and water leaks everywhere in bathroom incl toilet, wash basin and bath area. Called reception and being informed that she will convey the message to maintenance to rectify the above problems. However, maintenance didn't turn up instead they went to perform some other jobs on rooftop about 8+pm at night which include banging of... More

A big disappointment. Air conditioner is not functioning well. Very warm room. Water dripping from the air conditioner. One of the nights totally called off. House keeping is not well trained. Complained about the already opened botol water left in the fridge. One of the nights even found another already opened water, but never turn up to collect. Mentioned about... More
