My husband and I stayed at Amin house in Foxhill for 5 nights over Christmas. We love the place as it is serene and quiet, with a very local malay village feel. Cenang beach is too many people and too noisy for us especially during peak season. If you want beaches at your doorsteps and party then this place is not for you. Located in center of the island, it is 20 minutes to go the corners of the island. Taking Grab is not and issue from Foxhill. We uses Grab car service for the first few days and then rented a car from Ann, the host for the last 2 days of our trip at a very reasonable price. You have a choice of opting for breakfast in Foxhill or you can go out and try the local breakfast. Nearby Foxhill is the famous Pak Malau Nasi Dagang. For those who wants to try home cooked dinner, Ann provides pre-ordering of this as well. Overall we love our stay and will come back again in future.

If you're reading this review and have discovered Fox Hill, I highly recommend that you stay here. It's an incredible property for this price range.. We spent five wonderful days in Hill House and loved every bit of it.The property is beautiful, surrounded by nature with a wonderful swimming area and lush gardens. We also had a lot of fun staying in a traditional home, which was super roomy and comfortable with so many little details thought of. The view from Hill House was also fantastic. Ann and Enzani are some of the warmest, most genuine people we've ever stayed with. We hired their car, took up their offer of an airport transfer, enjoyed a superb breakfast every day and a super delicious dinner - all of which were so well priced and the service impeccable. The location is also great for exploring the island. We actually preferred Tanjung Rhu beach and the Kilim Geoforest to the other side of the island and had a couple of great meals in Kuah (check out Wonderland Foodstore and the Food Night Market), Thank you once again Ann and Enzani for a memorable family holiday. We hope we can return one day soon!

Ezani and Ann made us so welcome and looked after us so well in this amazing place. Our wooden house had everything we needed with aircon, fan, big comfy bed, day bed, fridge and wonderful shower. And outside-their beautiful tropical gardens in which the 6 houses are idyllically placed. It is so peaceful and relaxing and surrounded by the wildlife of the adjacent forest with its bird and animal wildlife. The breakfast was different every day and always delicious with many coconut treats. Ann cooked a wonderful fish dinner for us one night which was very reasonably priced. I wish we had known we could rent a car from them as we would have done so rather than the agency we used. It was such a treat to stay in this place. We intended to stop for 3 nights and stayed 5. Heavenly.

I would really like to thank Mrs Ann for being such a responsive host and Mr Ezani for attending every of our needs (towel change, place recommendation, etc) The place is really great for those that would like to visit every main beach in Langkawi, as the location of the place is in the middle of the island and the distance to other main beach and other attraction are realtively the same (around 20 mins). Or if you just what to experience a peaceful and tranquil vacation that is other than beach or want to have peaceful rest, this place is perfect. But if your primary purpose the just to visit and play in one particular beach for your entire stay, maybe this place is not suitable for you. The place is build based on the traditional Malay residence (even the house material are authentic!). So for those that want to experience the traditional Malay house but concern with the cleanliness, I highly recommend this place as they really maintain it really clean. :) Bonus point in this place, if you happen to encounter a clear night sky, you can even see a lot of star! Basic necessities are provided (towel, toiletries, etc) as well as other amenities that is necessary when living in open nature (mosquito spray, mosquito repellent, mosquito net, etc). But so far we don't really encounter any mosquito or other insect in our stay. Overall, we are really pleased with our stay and definitely will recommend to people that seeks for this particular experience :D

This was one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed, beautiful and absolutely wonderful. It felt like paradise; so peaceful, with the best views of Langkawi and the incredible wildlife there, plus a fabulous pool. The hosts are excellent, friendly and helpful, made delicious breakfasts and couldn't do enough to help. I was so grateful to have found this slice of paradise, far from the crowds down at the beaches. They had a car to hire which I used to get to the most beautiful beaches. If you value natural beauty, viewing wildlife, with warm and personal care from the hosts, you will be richly rewarded.
