Small cottages and cabanas set in a garden with lovely plants and flowers. Visits from hornbills, monkeys, lizards, squirrels and mongoose. It's an easy 15 minute walk from the beach and the strip and 5 minutes by Grab. It's not a luxury resort but a good value place in a quiet location.

We were really looking forward to arriving here after reading the glowing reviews. However, we found it to be very dirty (bed sheets, hair in shower drain, in a general state of disrepair). There were ants all over the bathroom. There were marks all over the walls and what we can only assume is insect poo. There was no hot water in the shower, both days. The room smelt terrible for our entire stay. The ‘free breakfast’ is stale bread in the fridge and some eggs which you cook yourself. We decided to pass on this both morning as it seemed so unappetising. In all our travels in SE Asia, this is the worst value for money we have found. Struggling to see where the amazing reviews have come from.

Loved our stay at Pondok Keladi. The owner, Dee, is wonderful - he's very friendly, shows you around the local.area and happily helps you out with anything. Free breakfast and noodles all day, cold beers on arrival and comfortable, quiet rooms. Highly recommend!

Set in a great tropical garden, Pondok keladi is the best catch among a shoal of other plain guesthouses. The rooms are neat and efficient. A commodious central balay offers free coffee noodles and comfy sofas to rest your weary legs after a day's exploring. Next door is a beautiful rice field, festooned with palm trees that offer residence to a troop of harmless monkeys. The local beach is a pleasant 20 mins walk away or grab a grab, by telephone or APP. Each room is airconned and beds are as soft as clouds.

Stayed for 3 nights but wish we had longer: Slightly outside the nearby town but only a short walk away. Pondok Keladi is a peaceful paradise surrounded by nature. Dee and Mark were amazing hosts, giving us insight to the local area, a short tour when we arrived, also helping us sort car hire. We spotted monkeys in the trees and had flying squirrels fly over us. Also very cute dog and cats (Inc 2 newborn kittens) on site. Free snacks and noodles are available and there is a nice social area outside. Private room was a nice size, fridge in the room and air con worked fine. There were a few insects in the bathroom but thats almost expected on a tropical island. Amazing value for money and had a great time staying here, will be back here when we return to Langkawi! Thank you
