Amazing hotel and the staff was very helpful and courteous. Me and my wife were their first guest since they opened after the lockdown and was lucky enough to get a nice upgrade. They also surprised my wife during her birthday was a simple decoration and a nice cake. Pros: Bed and pillows comfortable, breakfast was amazing, swimming pool was big and good temperature, facilities top class. Cons: NONE Highly recommended and we will definitely be back there again 😁

It was the very first day after the total lockdown in Malaysia, that The Westin re-opened its doors for guests. So quiet and peaceful, just a handful of guests! With excellent service, very delicious food and beverages it was an afternoon to remember. Music was very well selected, and every single staff welcomed us with a big smile under the face mask.

My wife and I spent a very enjoyable week in Langkawi and specifically the Westin. Great location, lovely beach - 9a tidal one and the sea does go out a fair way), great people, we were well looked after, if we had an issue it was dealt with. Would recommend the island. The resort is well spaced out along a long beachfront location, the pools and gardens are lovely. The suite we stayed in was excellent but the hotel as a whole is a little tired, could do with some renovation (this did not detract from our enjoyment though). Float restaurant was closed, I believe for maintenance, the website did not inform us of that fact, you my need to check if it is open. Its a 5 minute drive, a 20 minute easy walk into the main town Kuah The breakfast was buffet style, fairly typical buffet, good selection, decent quality just very hectic. We preferred Tides restaurant in the evening - good food, lovely location. Note you can also utilise the St Regis Hotel ( a 15 minute walk along the beach) facilities including restaurants. We dined at the Kayupti Restaurant of the St Regis, wonderful setting, great service, food good but not outstanding and expensive. Enjoyed it though. Really enjoyed our vacation here and would recommend it- but please note parts of the hotel do need a face lift.

First of all not only is the hotel in the most amazing location you could wish for but the staff make sure your holiday is 100%.. We stayed here in December 2017 and I can only say the hotel remains to the excellent standard it did then as it does today. All the staff are amazing and I mean ALL the staff from cleaning to front of house. The bedroom we had was overlooking the garden and the ocean and immaculately clean. The beds are to die for and huge, so plenty of space! The grounds are kept to a high standard and nothing is ever too much. We were only there for B&B as we love to sample the food outside as well as the hotel food but i can say there was plenty of variety for all tastes and cultures when we arrived for breakfast. The beach is much tidier than it was the last time we were there and it is cleaned every day with plenty of sunbeds to use. There are 3 pools, we mainly stayed around the fabulous infinity pool and the smaller pool next to it. If you want to have a stroll along the beach towards the spa, pop into the St Regis who welcome you with open arms too. The staff overall made our holiday most enjoyable and they simply could not do enough for us. We were always greeted every morning and although we preferred getting up off our sun lounger to order drinks there is a bell where the staff will always be on hand to help with your order. We would like to say a big thank you to the pool bar staff (Splash) who made every day enjoyable and just how it should be. A big shout out to Zulkeply who remembered us from December 2017 and i have to say made a my birthday so memorable that year. Also a huge thank you to Azham, Rasif, Hasrul, Shaquil, Hospi, Aiman, Shahril and Gayri, the pool/towel guys, Zali, Maslan, Faruk, Bob, Nuh, Wan and Bob, to the Breeze guys a thank you to Christian, Sanjeev, Ashutosh and Ismadi. For the restaurant I'd like to say a thank you to Emmy. Concierge couldn't do enough and the reception staff were exceptional. All in all everyone was fantastic as always and hopefully we will be able to return back again one day.

The Westin Langkawi is a great resort. We stayed here a few years ago and it was interesting to see that the hotel still is first class. It is situated near Kuah town. Our room was facing both the pool and the ocean and had a great balcony. Beds were very comfortable and it seemed to be newly renovated. Since we are Bonvoy members we were offered special check in but it is worth noting that staff were very efficient and friendly so check in at the ordinary counter is just as good. Overall we want to note that all staff members including Ms Melissa were fantastic. There are two restaurants and two bars in the hotel. One restaurant was closed due to renovation. The breakfast was excellent and offered all that you would want for breakfast. The main restaurant offered international as well as local food. We think that the quality on the local malay food could be improved. We found that the best quality food was offered at the Tide. The Tide is situated close to the beach. The beach is very good and has been greatly improved since we last visited the hotel. It is cleaned every day and have comfortable sunbeds. The water is ok but it is worth noting that most ferrys to and from Kuah passes by. Kuah ferry habour and yacht club is within walking distance. Here you can do some shopping and visit the large eagle statue. Next to the hotel a new hotel has been built. St Regis hotel is situated at the far end of the beach and offers a good restaurant and is cooperating with Westin. A curiosities are the monkies that lives in the area. They sometimes wander around on the balconies. They are not aggressive but you should not feed them. WiFi is working excellent all over the resorts premises. Due to the Covid-19 there were not so many guests but all staff still made our stay a memorable one.
