I had an excellent experience at Sea Gypsy with a couple of my friends. We were picked up by a driver from Singapore that was safe and courteous. Then, after about a 15 minute boat ride on one of the Sea Gypsy dive boats we arrived at Sibu Island and Sea Gypsy. During our 4-night stay we enjoyed the friendly...

This resort is basic (no internet or airco) but great to visit for a couple of days. We went 5 days with 2 kids 5 and 8 years old. The kids club is great and there are a lot of kids. The cabins are really close to the sea and beach is clean and very nice. Snorkeling and diving is...

Great staff, many things to do including just relaxing. Great for kids. Out of the way but the staff will arrange your transportation. We hiked the entire island and this is the only resort you want to be involved with on Sibu.

Very nice rustic, clean, basic cabins. Everything you need. Superb beach and lots of equipment for kids to play on or with. The children's club is excellent for getting the children out of your hair so you can gave a relaxing drink and adult conversation in and around dinner. Bar and waiting staff were all excellent and the cocktail list...

Fantastic weekend. The staff were all very friendly and attentive (particularly Ellie who took us on the fishing trip!). Really informal atmosphere - very casual, no need to dress up. Food was simple and had local influences but very tasty (especially the cinnamon beef we had served to us on arrival!). The beach was beautiful with white sands and so...

Let's go through this point by point: Food - constantly delicious despite being separated from the mainland. Also area vegetarian and they catered for us without a moment's thought (we told them in advance). Every meal was delicious! Staff - every single staff member was great, helpful and fun! Their policy is to stay up serving drinks until the last...

Weekend trip away from JB with my family. Easy speedboat transfer to the island and lovely welcome with cocktail on arrival and didn't have to pick up my bag once! All meals are included and the chef is AMAZING. There is a daily snorkelling trip to a nearby tiny island with beautiful coral reefs. Accommodation is basic with just ceiling...

Starts off with dealing with the people in their back office - it was already a breeze and the person who my friend liaised with had tips about what was needed for the trip, what to watch out for during the boat ride down to what we should pack, etc. It made our packing more "planned out" and I am...

This was a weekend getaway trip. We booked 2 nights package with the resort and drove from Singapore. Little adventurous road trip plus a boat ride! We felt welcome as soon as we arrived at the resort, not like any other place, you have to step into the water and walk yourself on the beach to the resort. Welcome drink...
