Nice property - very quiet and relaxing.
I went during the rainy season but enjoyed it. Great sounds from the waves and nice tropical rain.
Did a lot of reading and enjoyed a mellow time.

I never felt more welcome than I did when we checked-in to Teluk iskandar Inn. True to all the reviews, the rooms were very clean, homely and comfortable. Can't imagine that the place had been around for 17 years and it still looks new. The owners, Encik Ibrahim and his wife, Mdm Kamariah did a tremendous job in making our stay very pleasant and satisfying. Teluk Iskandar Inn made us feel as we are staying at the comfort of our home but with the peacefulness and the wonderful nature surrounding us. We did not regret coming here although we wished that we could actually stay longer instead of just a night. Encik Ibrahim was even kind enough to recommend us of all the good places around Mersing where we can enjoyed good food. The breakfast was simple but the scrambled eggs that Madam Kamariah cooked were simply superb. We were simply mesmerised by the whole place that we didn't even bother that there's no T.V. in the guest rooms which was quite a nice change. However, you can get good wi-fi connection in the inn depending on your location.

Thanks to Ibrahim & Karamiah the Teluk Iskander Inn is a beautiful and peaceful location located about 4-5km from Mersing town centre. Clean, good facilities and the best Malaysian hospitality you can get. At the moment its a 10 minute RM10 taxi ride journey from the town centre.

We stayed 2 nights, with 3 kids, at this beautiful B&B, overlooking the South China Sea and off-shore islands where we went snorkelling to view the coral - see photos of Rawa Island.
The owners could not have been more helpful and gave us a wonderful meal on the 2nd night; fish and then local fruits. I had not been back to Malaysia since the family left after Merdeka. We had Rambutan and Mangosteen - 2 of the tastiest fruits in the world; memories and taste bud came flooding back!
Go out of your way to stay here.

...because I'd rather keep this place all to myself! Located just outside the town of Mersing, this place is quiet, beautiful, clean, cheap and relaxing. I went by myself to plan out the next year and it is an excellent place to think. The rooms are clean and simple. Underneath the rooms is a sitting area perfect to lounge around. The owners are some of the most helpful and nice people I've ever met in a hotel anywhere. The grounds overlook the South China Sea and there is a beach—although it is quite rocky and more suitable for looking at tide pools than swimming or sunbathing.

If you're looking for someplace peaceful, this is it. If you're looking for a touristy resort with a big pool and crowds, the ferry to Tioman Island is a 5-10 minute drive away.

We stumbled upon this place and stayed over for a night in March 2011. After that night, we decided to book the whole place for a little celebration in November 2011. Whats great about it? Firstly, the hosts: friendly, accomodating, and yet not instrusive. They were a delight to talk to especially about their travels. Secondly, the cleaniless and the tranquility of the environment. The children (city kids) were quite thrilled to find a well on site. Thirdly, the locality. Its only a two hour drive from Singapore, off a quiet road leading into Mersing Town, with a good Thai restaurant withing walking distance from the Inn and a satay seller on the other side. At the end of our overnight weekend stay, both the children and the adults were somewhat dissappointed that we had only booked it for one night. This place offers a wonderful, yet inexpensive getaway from Singapore.

The effort of the owners is realy special. Everything is realy clean an looks new. Seams to me the toaster is never used. A realy clean mosquito net (compared to others....) good aircon.
They are on a certain age, but do everything to help you. Dont go in a hotel in the city. Take Iskandar Inn. You will not regret it. In walking distance you can have dinner. Veeeeeery cheap.

Warm & homely atmosphere, yet exclusive and unique. The 2 owners at the inn are very well-mannered, helpful, kind & sharing people whom all would love to meet during a holiday. The rooms are well-ventilated as the perfect location there is breezy both day & night. You get to see the most lovely sunset from your room where the windows & the good sized balcony faced the sea and the other part of the balcony faced the garden (we stayed at room#6). The room is so clean, no dust at all. The architecture of the inn is so special you would love it...In the huge garden extended all the way to the beach (no sand, just coast), you will have the opportunity to spot various types of birds, monitor lizards, squirrels, wild "mountain hens" etc. The aircon works super well even at 24 degrees & low speed. You will find the best satay & original Thai food 2-5mins walk from the inn. At MYR170, it comes with a nutritious & big share of toast bread with 4 types of spread to select, special scramble egg, fresh orange juice, freshly brewed coffee & tea & fresh tropical fruits. TV & fridge are shared at the breakfast area.

We are your sort of city folks who are always in search of some peace and quiet to help us keep our sanity. Teluk Iskandar Inn is almost perfect. The wide open space. Waking up in the morning to the sounds of waves of South China Sea. Friendly hosts. Idllylic countryside lifestyle just 3 hours away from Singapore. The best satay ever (we went back twice!).

It is the perfect weekend getaway of people who, like us, just wanted to have absolutely nothing to do, and take in the sights and sound of a lazy seaside town. I believe it will be a great place for city kids to experience kampung life too! We saw monkeys picking coconuts, we hear of gold diggers who will hang out around the beaches - it's just great!

The only drawback, is, the mosquitoes. Otherwise, it will be so perfect.
