WOW!
After travelling in nothern Malawi, staying at digs that were hard for a Scottish lifestyle to stomach but we had no option with the work we were doing. we had stayed at another Hotel that didnt sell alcohol so there was no way we were going back there! we had ask my wife to book us another hotel in Blantyre for our return. She booked Casa Mia for us, ill admit to being dissapointed at her choice, I'd been there 7 years ago and found it souless but what a pleasent surprise to arrive here at this renovated hotel with a lovely pool, only used by us and everyone else there seemed to be staying there on buisness, the rooms are spotless, walk in showers are a rarely found luxury in Malawi, the poolside was clean, fresh and relaxing, the restaurant was of the highest standard in Malawi with a meal of 3 good size, soft, full flavoured fillet steaks on soft creamy, sliced potatoes (i cant spell Daphne's potatoes) were excellent value at 10 000MWK or a tenner in Scottish money!. The staff in the place are lovely, attentive and interesting, a special mentiom to Stella the cleaner and the gardener 'Paul the people's poet' who has the most interesting view of life, a true gentleman whom i came to admire greatly. Overall, its improved beyond measure, it will be the only place i will be back with Maura's Mission. btw, if you need transport around Malawi i recommend hiring an exclusive Taxi, much cheeper than hiring your own car, Andrew was our driver, get him on +265 888 743955

What a treat to stay at Casa Mia. Amazing staff, friendly and competent, looking after your need, so efficiently we did not even notice at time. An empty glass will dissapear with you even seeing them remove it!
From check in to the bar and restaurant, definitely worth is.
We Had one of the best dinners we have ever had in Malawi before retiring to a very comfortable room. En-suite, nice beds, tea and coffee in room.
The included breakfast also blew us away. Once again most competent staff to start of with and then again, one of the best meals we have had in Malawi!
Even if you do not stay there, I would at least go for a meal.
One of the best runs places in Malawi, by far.
You will see us again.

If you are looking for that peaceful quiet place that has great outdoor views to a cozy room and great dining atmosphere and delicious food then Casa Mia is one of those places.
The couple are always so welcoming and Veronica is so vibrant and ready to chat you up. She literally sad down with me at the bar as my husband was busy in a meeting and we had the best conversation.
From check in to the hot shower and cozy bed. I wouldn’t ask for anything else and the pool area is an excellent spot for a chill.

Stayed 4 nights. Room was spacious and bed comfortable.breakfasts were very good and staff are friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the plumbing left a lot to desire as the toilet didn't flush properly and after it was reported maintenance were slow to react.
Restaurant is OK. Nothing fancy and reasonably expensive for the quality of food.
Despite negatives it's not a bad option in Blantyre if you need value for money

The room was good, well maintained. It was quiet. Good room facilities...I was impressed that there was both a french coffee press and ground coffee provided as part of the deal. Service was pretty good. One thing not so great was the fairly erratic internet service.

Hello Mr Macpherson, Thank you so much for your review of casa Mia, we are happy you enjoyed your stay with us. The speed and and connectivity of internet is a pet hate for many guests from developed countries. Our internet is free and is no slower or faster than any of the other hotels in Blantyre. We basically have only one provider and they pretty much control the price, band width and speed

I stayed at the Casa Mia a few nights during a month long trip to Malawi. The hotel was perfect for what I needed. A very friendly staff gave advice and help with a few small projects I was trying to complete on short notice. Great meals, comfortable rooms and a relaxing location in Blantyre.

I have spent 3 weeks in this lodge and I will say it is one of the best experiences I have had and I travel throughout Africa. The staff are extremely polite well trained and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food although think a little expensive is outstanding and worth that little extra cost. This is a lodge I will have no trouble returning to in fact I can't wait

Walkable into town. Friendly staff. Rooms comfortable, good breakfast. Good place to stay when first arriving in Blantyre. They offered to pick us up from the airport, however cheaper to organise your own taxi.

Clean and quiet hotel stay with good breakfasts.
Liked the fact that the wi-fi worked well. Beers were cold and most of the service was good with very friendly staff.
Only negative was that obviously some staff need retraining after the Covid disruption.
