Stayed @ Chez Maggie for 5 days with my family, and really loved it. The rooms are clean and spacious. I was a bit worried about malaria in Morondava as I have two young kids, but this place has mosquito nets, which is great. The food at the restaurant is delicious, and to my big surprise, cheaper than in nearby restaurants (we tried a couple of them around). The hotel is well staffed, always someone available to provide help or address any issue you may have. Staff are also very friendly, welcoming and dedicated to their job. We felt lucky to have found this place because we booked very late and thought that the good hotels were gone by then.

We got there after 9h drive and it felt like paradise. We were greeted with fresh juice and our bungalow was ready when we arrived. Bungalows were quite nice with everything we needed and hot water! The garden was lovely with nice sea view and comfort seatings. Barbecue was really good. WiFi could be better, it should be a easy fix. Also if you order a South African wine from the menu and you receive a cheap Chilean wine witch is pored out without you noticeing is'nt very nice. Although we liked the place very much.

Greetings from Morondava. Sorry to hear about South African vs Chilean wine situation. Our apologies but quite certain that it was an honest mistake and our staff didn't mean to give you the wrong wine. That said, thank you for sharing your thoughts and very glad you enjoyed your stay. All the best for 2020 and we hope to see you again one day. ~ Chez Maggie Team ~

We only stayed here one night in one of the rear rooms no 5 at the end of the verandah. Two rooms, one of 14m2 with bed of 2m x 1,6m and mosquitonet. Second bedroom 8 m2 with single bed and also a bathroom of 8m2. Together spacious Both a ventilator and AC, safe and Wifi. Large closets in the bathroom. The hotel lies a bit set back from the beach. The parking area is often full, but drivers manage the movement of the vehicles. The reception-dining area is cosy, but looks a bit cramped full. Reasonable breakfast.

Evening & Thank you - Glad to have you with us and appreciate your sharing your review. Yes, you're quite right and the parking area is a bit small. Also (as you probably noticed) we're in the process of building a new awning for vehicles as well which adds to the tight conditions. We'll have the new 'roof' complete soon which will help the situation. Thanks again and enjoy your onward travels. -> Gary, Baholy & the Chez Maggie Team
