Hotel is located almost beach side. But you have to walk 100 meters in sandy surfaces to the sea side. We have had to change room in first touch because of bad smelling from toilet. I never had dining I can't say anything about it but breakfast lower average and the cleanness of fork, knife, spoon is disappointed. What I... More

Visit didn't start well - they didn't appear to have my reservation...disinterested receptionist just looked at me blankly and had to be prompted to see if rooms were available - I was promptly offered the same room I had booked! (They also had no room for my driver and weren't exactly helpful suggesting alternatives - just kept saying 'no room'k).... More

Of course we're disappointed to hear your reception at the Chez Maggie was not as it should have been. But we appreciate your input and are glad the situation was resolved. Our apologizes but we assure you (and as the vast majority of Trip Advisor reviews attest) this is not usually the case. Also sorry the controller for the air... More

It is incomprehensible why this hotel in Morondava, which looks ostensibly the stars of Tripadvisor, is recommended so fervently. It does not provide any personal or only minimally sensitive attention, as it seems to be drawn from the recommendation of Tripadvisor. Our experience is very negative: they ensured that we would have a taxi waiting at 4 am, but it... More

We stayed in cottage 3. This cottage has a loft where the bed is. A winding staircase goes down the side of the round building to a spacious main floor with the closet, a sitting area, desk, and washroom. Unfortunately, the power goes off at 2 AM, there is limited headroom at the top of the stairs, and a bathroom... More

We came here after a very adventurous trip around different parts of Madagascar, and it is like a little oasis. Friendly, well-kept it is an enclave from the chaos that sometimes characterises this fascinating country. It is on a peninsula between the sea and a mangrove inlet with a funky, laid-back atmosphere. Good restaurant, though the cook seemed to be... More

Stayed here for one night as stop over. Lovely bungalows, we had great seafood for dinner, feels like a French seaside hotel as blue and white painted walls etc. Right on beach Would def stay here again

I didnt stay with Chez Maggie so my review relates to the 4 day trip I organised with them to Tsingy and Kirindy National Parks. They had a trip detailed on their website so we turned up, discussed options and booked a trip for the following day. They booked all accomodation for us which was necessary in high season. There... We stayed there in July and it was really nice experiance. After 3 weeks of travelling around Madagascar with kids I have to say that the restaurant and food was one of the best. Maybe this is not typical Malagasy, maybe meals are too big for kids, but it was just nice and tasty experience. Hotel is properly managed -... More

Enjoyable stay, friendly staff, Morondava beach just a short walk away. Wifi in restaurant, fairly good connection. The pool was inviting, especially in the Morondava weather! Food very good. Spacious room. Room lighting can be improved.

We stayed at Chez Maggie in May of this year, and would highly recommend it. Right on the beach (via goat Jail), beautiful views, lovely bungalows, and the best fish I have ever eaten. The staff were friendly and helpful, with out being invasive, and the pool was a little piece of heaven at the end of a hot day.... More
