    Great hotel!
My group stayed here for only one night but it was still pretty nice. Each room has air conditioning that you are able to control. The rooms were also very clean and there were no problems. They also do laundry which was finished in less than 24 hours. The staff are kind and even though there was a language barrier they were still quite patient. In the dinning area, which is outside, there are lounge chairs that overlook the river that runs along the hotel. There are also little mudskippers down in the mud by the river that you can watch if you are interested in them. Overall the hotel was a great place to stay and I definitely recommend it for those who want to be close to the ocean and local culture but also want comfort.
Thank you for your comment on our hotel. I am stuck in Italy but the hotel has always been open. The situation is serious in Madagascar and many hotels have closed. We are still there and thanking the personal the hotel is still as you have seen. Thank you for your comment and a wish from all of us. Trecicogne

    Super Riverside position
I recently stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting Kirindy Park to see the "Dancing Lemurs".......well worth the travel.....though the journey from Antisarabe is more like 10 hours than 8 hours which it says in most tour guides. The hotel and rooms are super clean and tidy. Bright rooms with mosquito nets and ceiling fans. Staff very friendly. Beautiful spot to see the sunrise over the river.
Hello, Thank you for your comment and for choosing our hotel. We are always trying to do our best in every way and a positive comment is the culmination of some very hard work from all of us. Thank you !

    Nice little stay in Morondava
This is a great place to stay! Clean and in a nice area (close to buy not on the beach). The food and coffee is nice and there is a lovely little hammock area on the decking by the river. As with most places in Madagascar, the wifi is very patchy. There are good restaurants nearby too.

Just a one night stay and an early start, we found our room (on the 1st floor) quite pleasant - nice bathroom and some unexpected wall art for Madagascar (Pocahontas and John Smith)! Lovely open restaurant area, the food was tasty enough. Thought we had booked an early breakfast plus picnic lunch takeaway, only to find there was no breakfast for us at 6 am (before the normal opening time) but our picnic had been prepared so I assume it was just miscommunication. Overnight it was hot and, early on was quite noisy - music from somewhere nearby - but the fan helped to cool us down and to drown out the music so we did sleep so no complaints. First impression from our arrival at reception (with our guide and driver) was one of indifference but the restaurant staff were OK. And the chap we met at 6 am at least found our picnic for us!

Hello, Thanks for your comment on hotel and the hotel service For the breakfast,it starts at 7am but our clients can take before they leave at hotel in the morning but they must order it at the restaurant in the evening, our client can take also lunch box or picnic. We do not mind what was happened, may be a communication was not good as you said, we hope the rest was fine. Normally in the evening from 08 pm it is quiet but the music can be unpleasant even away from the hotel, the hotel is located in a Vezo sinners' area and a bit price to pay for being in the middle of this etnic group. I regret for the first impression you had on arrival at hotel, we always try to give you the best and a good service, you trust helps us to make bettere more and satisfy our clients We really apoligize for any incoveniences Thanks for choosing the Trecicogne hotel

Just stayed at Trecicogne Morondava I would not recommend!! Reception was not friendly or accommodating. Wifi was terrible!! Rooms were uncomfortably hot. Food was over priced! If you are looking for a decent hotel close by Baobab cafe is just up the street. Reception staff are nice! Wifi is great here plus a pool!

Hello, We always accept your comment because it will helpus to make our service better. but i would like to explain about your criticism on our institution. The room too hot, i remind that you are entering in the hottest season ot the yesr even all the rooms equipped with fans and air conditioning, you just had to choose a room equipped with air conditioning to be confortable avec 4 euro en plus. The reception was not a accommoding, i would like to remind you that you booked for 02 nights and in the morning aroun 11am you decided to leave and make a check out, in which case you amade a last minute cancellation without giving us the opportunity to fill the room, normally you are obliged ton pay a penalty, i think in the your country is the same, they are the international normative. Regarding the food we do not known what you had taken but hte prices are well displayed on the menu and i wonder why you stayed instead of looking elsewhere in the cheapest restaurant. You also said that the wifi was terribile, it is not from us it depends of Telma Company and there was a disruption from the Telma connection in 02 days all over the region. Our wifi is the same as the Baobab cafe used and the food are even more expensive than our, have you not noticed? I would like to remind you that Baobab cafe is a hotel 03 star for 80 euro per night with standing service different or at hotel Trecicogne you paid 20 euro per night a room with fa, hot water, private sanitary and with impeccable cleanliness and we have not the swimming pool. In any case thank you for your comment and have you a good contininuation Hotel trecicogne

Even if the place is not directly at the beach, the beach is just across the road, and the place has great views over the river. Also, great location to go to have a drink or a meal as there are many restaurants at walking distance.

Hello, The place is not directly at the beach, just across the road and not far by walk to get the beach. The lagoon where hotel is located is closed to the mangroves with a biodiversity very important for the local population. You can drink beer staying at the restaurant and have a spectacular view, discovery the life of the fisherman. Thank you for your review and we hope that you recommend the hotel Best wishes

The first night, before going to the Tsingy, we stayed in room 10 which was spacious and clean. The receptionist was so attentive, he called our driver on our way back to ask whether he should keep a double room free for us. This was very welcome because it was high season and availability for rooms in Morondava was low. We came to the hotel after a days travel and welcomed the hot shower. Sadly one of us fell sick the day after because of the long journey and the water in our hotel at the Tsingy. We stayed for another three days for recovery and during those days the staff was very kind and attentive, checking up on us, offering to contact a doctor if needed, and offering special food. We where room-bound for three days and can say that the comfort and atmosphere of the room was enough to not make us go crazy! The best internet we've had in Madagascar also helped a lot! By the way, the mosquito nets are very functional and easy to sleep with (unlike in most other hotels we've been to). The room was cleaned very thoroughly. We had the American breakfast for three mornings and although not the cheapest, they were good portions and high quality and overall worth it. Would definitely stay again if we were to return. A big thank you to Solo the receptionist, Bakoly and the others responsible for the kitchen and cleaning.

Stayed here as part of a G adventures trip. It overlooks the river. The rooms are acceptable but a little overpriced. The bathrooms offer soap only and the sliding doors are difficult to shut. The restaurant is reasonably good with fine seafood and great cocktails but breakfast is overpriced and unimaginative. It is a 10 minute walk to the beach and 30 to the town.

Thanks for your review; it allows us to make better our service and the stay of our clients will be more pleasant. About the sliding door, we do the maintenance as soon as we have recived your comment. However the price for the room and the breakfast, it is not very expensive as you think, you will get the breakfast for 06 euros (for cofee or tea or chocolat or cappucino, bread, butter, jam and honey, fruit salad, juice natural, eggs with ham and cheese or cake and crepe. In italy, the breakfast like it, it cost more expensive. For the room, we offer you the best quality, the place of the hotel and the price is between 11 euros to 23 euros so, i think that it is really correct and for a long year, you are the first who criticize our pratical prices. In any case, thank you for your comment because it is very useful.

We stayed here two nights, and enjoyed the bungalow style accommodation. Very clean. It’s away from the center of town, so you don’t get all the hustle and bustle, at night. The restaurant, is actually very good, not only for breakfast, but their calamari is excellent, and same price as restaurant in town. The deck overlooks the river, you can watch the boats, and fishing. Staff very friendly.
