Meva Plage Hotel has cottages at their private beach with a beautiful view of the Sugar Loaf of Diego-Suarez. Sometimes it’s not a huge property that makes the difference but the charm of a small hotel. That’s exactly why we love the family-owned hotel Meva Plage, located near Ramena. Their hospitality and service is amazing. The rooms provide air-conditioning and the restaurant serves delicious meals, all reasonably priced. We had a wonderful stay! They also offer a pool, children’s playground and canoes to enjoy the water. Highly recommended!

As the hotel's owner is a friend of mine, she invited us to party. We swam, did kayak, enjoyed the terrace, danced and did a sunset photoshoot. The hotel is located between road and sea with "pieds dans l'eau" bungalows. And you can eat oysters on the very beach. The hôtel is ideal for workshops and team building sessions as it is equipped with the appropriate logistics, screen, chairs, tables, Wi-Fi.

I can highly recommend Meva Plage. The position, on the way to Ramena outside town and on the Bay, was terrific. It was clean, tidy and secluded. All the staff were extremely polite and helpful. The food was very good and drinks were very reasonably priced. The room was comfortable.

We are in Diego Suarez in the dry season, a windy, dusty and desolate environment...Extremely dry and arid. Our apartment overlooking the bay is in fact...a dust bowl...fine powdery red dust that literally permeates the air and settles on every surface within minutes of a wipe down...A constant sweeping needs to be practiced...Windows and sliders have to be open to get the breeze as there is no AC...effectively...you are damned with windows open and damned if they are closed ... What a welcoming sight on the road to Ramena, a beach front oasis...Hotel Meva Plage...We ventured in one morning and we were astounded at the treasure that this establishment is...Beautifully appointed in island style decor, huge palm trees line the beach, a lovely and inviting pool area with bar and restaurant and a shaded deck looking out over the bay... We found a little paradise... And we became fast friends with the owners, a lovely couple, Hortense and Roland, and their equally lovely daughter...Melodie...Thank you so much for taking care of us and we look forward to a long friendship. Harrison and Max, the bar and waitstaff are excellent hosts and pre empt, without intrusion, almost every whim you may have...English, French, Italian and Spanish spoken here...service is by far, the most attentive we have encountered in our month in Diego Suarez... We opted for a night stay on my birthday, booking into one of the beach front bungalows, steps away from the ocean...and air conditioned room to boot...Cocktails on the sunset terrace, a fantastic dinner with Roland, Hortense and Melodie... The staff had prepared a surprise birthday cake for me, very touching to have this presented with candles and dancing by the whole kitchen staff... A peaceful nights sleep and smiles at breakfast...An extremely memorable stay and one that we will definitely want to experience again...and again... As far as we are concerned...Meva Plage Hotel is "the place" to stay in Diego Suarez... Peaceful, excellent food, awesome service and beautiful hospitality from all...A fabulous happy experience!

We stayed two nights at this very nice and perfectly located hotel. And we were so sory to leave that beautiful place! After several days travelling on a bumpy road and staying overnight at some places with no running water, we felt like in a luxury kingdom when we arrived to Meva Plage Hotel. The bungalows are spacy, very nice, clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice terrace overlooking the sea. Definitelly watch the sunset! Just an unforgetable experience. Swimming in the ocean is only recommended during the high tide. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful, speaking English (which is not very common in Madagascar). The breakfast was tasty, including fresh fruits, juice and pancakes with delicious jam. Don´t forget to taste some fish for dinner, it is fresh and excellent. Thank you, you are doing a good job, stay like that!
