Sleeped 15 nights in January 5th stay at this hotel. Nice hotel ideally located because it is close to shops, restaurants and drinking establishments. The staff is friendly and efficient. The poolside rooms much quieter because street side you can hear the nightlife nearby. They were clean and well cleaned. The rooms with balcony are brighter due to the bay window and moreover appear larger, the balcony convenient. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The breakfast as the Gauls say (we are lunch) has improved since my last visits, nice sweet or savoury choices, omelets or grilled eggs made on request. The must c is the bar in the pool: this is for the positives. For the rest, this famous bar in the pool deserves a big refreshment and cleaning. The blue water of the pool in the promotional photos disappeared in favor of the green but it is not catastrophic either because I swam there almost every day, and it feels good at the end of the afternoon on returning from excursions. The pool staff cleaned it every morning. I slept in room 3 of the 1st, perfect nothing wrong but my 4 friends complained about the fridge and air conditioning that made too much noise. The phones in some rooms were unusable. For television some French and music channels would have been welcome. 2 water cuts one of which all night reminded me that I was indeed on holiday in Africa... I noticed that several rooms were under renovation so well inquire. I paid 400,000 ariary (80.- chf) per room through the Hotel, otherwise my friends paid 330,000 through an online booking site. I think we should not forget that this is not the European standard, nor is the price, and that with an open and positive mind (in reference to the negative comments I read .. ) you will have a pleasant stay. Otherwise I had a wonderful holiday. My friends and I would like to thank the entire staff for their kindness and efficiency. See you later.

The water in our room was very variable: sometimes none, sometimes plenty, sometimes a dribble, hot then cold, all in the space of one attempt to shower. Same all 4 days.
The pool water is very cloudy: can't see your hand in the water. Such a shame as should be lovely.
The whole experience is of a hotel in gradual decline without the will or money to mend or upgrade. But it is in a good location and the travel agency attached is very helpful.

One of the 20 hotels we stayed at during our 7 week tour of Madagascar. Bedrooms are large with a nice bathroom. Very clean. AC is noisy and the room is a bit dark. Mini bar, hairdryer, shampoo bar (excellent) and shower gel provided. A welcome cocktail offered at the bar. Lovely to sit outside the bar in the evening and watch the world go by. Felt very safe. Large pool which is open to the public for a fee so not just hotel guests and families came for the afternoon. Great massage for about £18. Friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast, we sat outside on the terrace overlooking the pool. Lunch and dinner from a limited menu but was good. Supermarket a few minutes along the street.

We spent two nights in this hotel, as Diego Suarez was an intermediate stop in our excursions. Equipped with a beautiful swimming pool, restaurant with freshly baked bread and pizza. Satisfactory breakfast. Unfortunately, there were some unwanted guests in our bathroom... a family of cockroaches. We immediately went to the reception and the staff promptly worked for us, apologizing and helping us. It is clear that by our standards (I mean European ones) it is not a true grand hotel. We are in a difficult city and every reality must always be put into context. In the end they upgraded us to a suite where everything was impeccable. I can't say for sure whether I would go back or not, but the commitment, kindness and extreme hard work of these people must be rewarded.

Two night stay at this hotel in Diego Suarez, probably the best in the area.
Old French-style hotel, with many reviewable areas.
The rooms are also to be renovated, but they are very clean and with everything you need. Glasses not very thick, on Saturday nights the Malagasy disco feels all, bring caps!
The dinner unfortunately bad, menu not totally in line with the local cuisine and not well executed.

Our must stop for the northern tour. An old hotel, which lives on the glories of the past and has never been renovated and probably cleaned. Stale rooms, noisy air conditioning, Tirrenia bunk type bathrooms. It saves the restaurant that has poolside tables but is full of cats and cheap food. It's the best of the city...think the rest.
You can sleep but for some it will not be an easy night.

Hotel to be used only for a night of passage. No particular charm, very mediocre catering… even breakfast. Rooms with decent but aging comfort. One night was enough there! Despite everything good location in Diego Suarez.

On the main street, nice Art Deco hotel, a bit dated but clean and with friendly staff. Nice pool and also the room. Good and cheap massage. Quite varied and good breakfast. Discreet also dinners overlooking the pool. Only to criticize the lack of sunbeds in the pool.

Spacious rooms, clean, very nice breakfast (buffet). Friendly staff, was unlucky to arrive when the whole city was without water due to problems with the supplier (Jirama). Very nice swimming pool and close to bars and restaurants.

Hello Kristin D, yes the bathrooms do have hair dryers. They use the European power outlets if i'm not mistaken.
