I have to start by saying the staff are excellent, nothing is to much of a problem and when mistakes are made it's rectified with speed.
My room was an excellent a size with good sized balcony overlooking the sea.
Fruit bowl on arrival with fresh bottled water every day.
Unfortunately I found the bed a little uncomfortable but I am quite fussy, liking a soft supportive bed.
The bathroom had a Shower only which had a tendency to back up if you spent to long I'm there and a few loose items like flexible Mirror and toilet roll holder. But on a whole still no big problem.
Food in the hotel is of an excellent standard both room service and restaurant. However the breakfast selection is just a little on the plain side, not a big enough hot selection for my taste, although the egg station omelettes were delicious.
Would have no problem in going back to the Reston

From start to finish, everything was handled in an incredibly professional and immaculate manner. What's important from my perspective is that rooms are meticulously cleaned. The upgraded room courteously provided upon arrival was spacious and featured tasteful interior decor. What I liked most about the facility is that all staff are well-trained and do their utmost to cater to needs and requests, no matter if they fall beyond what constitutes regular working duties. In this day and age, even in the hospitality industry, it's challenging to find effective customer service, so they are to be fully commended. The breakfast buffet provides excellent value and a wide selection additionally. When returning to the area, this will be my new priority location.

My family and I want to thank everyone who made our stay great.

Anthony, Rebecca, Rabih, Ghassan, Emmanuelle, the doorman, sorry for those we forgot the name. You are truly an asset to this hotel and you made our stay very enjoyable and we truly felt at home. We will not forget and make sure to come say hello next time we come to Lebanon!
The rooms are big and clean with nice views over Jounieh. The hotel has a nice swimming pool open 24/24, perfect fora night swim!

The only bad experience we had is because of Firas, the F and B "manager". We stayed 3 weeks in the hotel and he made us pay for one small food that we took outside of the breakfast time. When we took the food, he didn't tell us that he would make us pay it, which is deeply unprofessional. You should be ashamed of this attitude. You truly know nothing about hospitality.

We decided to choose the valentine's offer at the Reston hotel. The reception was good but took a little bit of time to get the room.
The room was nice and cozy with a sea view and some decorations as shown in the picture.
We do not recommend the Gym because all the machines are really old and overused as shown in the picture, the treadmill belt slips and could kill you.

My wife asked room service for a stick of 3 in 1 Nescafe and we were charged 12000lbp=8$ for it. It costs 250lbp=0.17$. We asked why a 4 stars hotel doesn't provide nescafé in the room, they replied that they only give tea. The next morning we asked room service if we can get turkish coffee with our breakfast and they got it for us for free.

The worst was when we decided to take a shower after the Gym, the body lotion and the conditioner were already used and half empty (seen in the picture).

At the end, we really had a good time despite these issues. Everything can be accepted but the lotion issue is really disgusting. So if you don't care about those things, go for it.

I wanted to say "good" because I felt this place has seen better days, but my review has to reflect the current status, and it was clear that the current economic crisis did not help Reston keep up with the times. It is still a nice place to stay, though. The location is good, and the staff is friendly.
The rooms and bathrooms need more cleanliness and maintenance. The lobby is so nice and comfortable, and again, I commend the staff.

Friendly personal, mid sized rooms, frequent waiting for the elevator(one for each of the two bidings). If you are more than 1,79 cm taller the 1,80 long bed may be not optimal for sleeping. Dinner and breakfast OK

Stayed here 4 nights. It seemed to be the nicest hotel and most modern in Jounieh (other than Veer Hotel).

When making my reservation by phone I was assured that I would be allocated a non smoking room. I arrived to find I was given a smoking room! I immediately asked to be moved as my eyes were tearing and throat burning as were my elderly fathers after 10 minutes in the room.

The hotel duty manager, a lovely young lady, seemed to lack name brand hotel experience and while very polite and caring didn't seem to realise that allocating a guest a room they didn't ask for was not very professional. While waiting to be allocated to a new room, which very kindly turned out to be a junior suite, the bell boy's walkie talkie was turned up loud and I heard a female who I presume was the duty manger I spoke with telling housekeeping staff to remove the ashtray and matches from the new room!!!

Thus be warned this hotel mainly caters to Iraqi, North African and Gulf tourists who are here for the semi red light district this hotel is situated in. This cohort ALL SMOKES and the hotel gladly caters for them and as such each and every room is a smoking room despite what you may be told. I had to ask for all carpets bed spreads etc to be removed from the news room to further decrease the smell of smoke. Thankfully the lounge was leather in the room and the floor was tiled which meant smoke smells were minimal..

Bathrooms are tiny and don't expect anything decent by way of toiletries, No face washers or floor matt towels for the floor. Shower water leaks and goes everywhere. TV reception is very poor and no channel I had access to was 100% clearly transmitted.

Breakfast is a full Lebanese affair which while very healthy is boring after 2 days. The eggs / omelettes were COLD everyday. Staff seemed unenthusiastic and NOBODY smiles and has miserable looking faces all the time, albeit very friendly when approached. They foyer is lovely but once again be prepared for smoking Arab tourists who ruin sitting there. Overall its a nice building and rooms are fine. Air Conditioning units are dirty and/or have broken louvres and carpets in corridors are stained. The lifts are incredibly small with very low ceilings. They are also incredibly HOT temperature wise.

An OK hotel, NOT 4 star and while staff are all friendly they certainly are not trained to an international brand name 3 or 4 star level. If you're young single or a couple try Veer Hotel(no under 18's allowed). If you're a family who needs to stay in Jounieh and doesn't want to be subjected to smoke smells and NO non smoking rooms try stay at Princessa or Portaluna and if you have a car and want to stay next to the famed Casino Du Liban stay at Monte Casino Boutique Hotel. (I'll stay there or Veer next time).

That said I suspect very few, if any, hotels in Jounieh have strict international standard rules re having non smoking rooms - there are NO international brand name/standard hotels in this area unfortunately, despite its popularity.

Would I stay here again or recommend it, probably no. To put things in perspective I travel a lot and am a diamond Hyatt member. Still I don't think I've been unreasonable in my analysis.

Dear guest, Thank you for your detailed feedback with regards to your stay at Reston. Your comments have been duly noted. We would like to address your point regarding the brand name; you are right, we are not an international chain hotel. We are a local family hotel, and this reflects in everything we do, including service and staff friendliness. So while our staff are not trained to an international brand name, they do welcome and deal with guests in a friendly, warm manner that makes them feel at home.
