The hotel has a great location on top of the hills overlooking the city. It's close to all attractions in the area. The rooms are well mentained and the beds are comfortable. You can watch the magnificent view from the window while enjoying your coffee. All the staff are very helpful and welcoming. Everytime I stay there, I feel I am at home. Thanks to everyone in this beautiful hotel.

Our overall experience was average.
I read some reviews that made of cautious of the place and it unfortunately soon became very clear why as soon as my first encounter at check-in.
We checked in on the app at 11am and booked a designer suite. When we arrived at 12pm, the suite wasn't ready and Mr. Samer from the reception desk seemed absolutely cool about it as if it is the norm there! He thankfully gave us a brief tour around the hotel where he should us the 2 swimming pools. Then tried to trick me into giving up my welcome gift (usually used for points) for breakfast!!
For those who don't know, as a Titanium member you have free lounge access for breakfast and dinner at the lounge (not the main restaurant). In case you are staying at a resort or a hotel without a lounge, you get free breakfast at the main restaurant as a replacement and no dinner. This has nothing to do with your welcome gift which you can choose for 1,000 points. What Mr. Samer was trying to do here was simply cut some of my benefits. Not cool!

The hotel in general has no appreciation for Marriott loyalty, you might as well through it in the bin before going to this hotel!
My biggest disappointment came as we were offered our suite late and with the worst view the hotel has to offer!! The hotel staff are very well aware of the rooms/ suites facing the nice views. We asked repeatedly on the first day to find an alternative, but the responses were very indifferent.
We only stayed for 2 nights, and after nagging with the reception staff for many times, they offered us another room with a separate view, but this was on our second night during the second half of the day. So we were not going to enjoy the view in the evening hours, then leaving early the day.
I do however appreciate the attempt even if it was too late. I would have expected the reservations/ operations team to address this issue from the start, unless the hotel was full of Lifetime Marriott members.
I’m a Lifetime Titanium Member and as far as I know, we are treated as VIPs and each hotel I’ve stayed at has tried to go the extra mile in appreciation for loyalty. This is the first hotel that I have seen with such poor appreciation of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.

On a good note, the views from the hotel are great if you stay at the pool bar. Also there are nice restaurants and cafes within a 10-15 minute walking distance. The waiters Paul, Pamela and Firas from the pool bar were very friendly.

The hotel has 2 pools. The first is an indoor heated pool which I do not recommend for couples. The chlorine smell is too much and was filled with kids having swimming lessons. The second pool which is the main pool next to the pool bar has wonderful views. Unfortunately, the water is very cold, so people go in for 10-20 minutes then up again. There are also 2 jacuzzies in the main pool, however both of which were without water! The pool area is un-serviced! There is no towel booth and you need to go to the pool bar to find a waiter to order from. This is because this hotel is very much under-staffed, so they decided to have the main pool area un-serviced altogether! Another example to show how this hotel is under-staffed was the reception desk where there is between 1-2 people who are responsible for reception, concierge, reservation and answering the phone (at your service button)!

Last but not least, the bathroom shower has filthy with mold (please see pictures) and the hotels were off-white rather than white.

In conclusion, this hotel has great potential as one of the best hotels in the region, but I believe they need to put some serious effort on some points in order to be a true luxury hotel.

I stayed at this fancy hotel for one night, I paid enough to stay 2 nights at a 4 star hotel, yet the following happens:
Regardless of the fact that you have to pay extra for your BREAKFAST, and WI-FI, PARKING... they would try to GENTLY STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!
So here's my feedback about the Grand Hills hotel in Lebanon:

- After agreeing that my 1 night reservation will cost me 308$, the next day the receptionist told me that it's 312$ because the currency rate has changed from dollars to Lebanese Liras, EVEN AFTER I PAID 300$ AT THE CHECK-IN... which means as you all know that once I paid the deposit, they shouldn't change the fee, because the contract said that I can't pay less than 308 and they can't ask for more than that!
- At the check-out, the receptionist CHARGED ME MORE THAN i OWE, because she said that I have to pay a parking fee for my car WHICH DOESN'T EXIST!!! AND IT CAN'T BE A SIMPLE MISTAKE, simply because if the fee wasn't on the system, then she shouldn't assume that I have a parked car. SHE, the receptionist, TRIED TO STEAL SOME of my MONEY.

- The breakfast, which is not included in all the deals, is barely worthy of a 4-star hotel.
- If you have a car and you need to park it there, there's no way you can park your car other than their parking, then you have to pay over 10 bucks.
- I made my reservation 24 h ahead, yet I got a Deluxe Room, which is supposed to be great, one of the lights wasn't working; and also the toilette ceiling fan wasn't working... AND IT IS EXTREMELY EMBARRASSING when you have a smelly toilette after using it, especially when your wife or guests wanna use it!!!!!!

- You see a lot of expensive materials in the hotel, but you get surprised to see them putting a slippery marble in the bathroom. I wish they used the marble in the lobbies to use a suitable marble in the bathroom. But unfortunately it's all about fooling the clients sometimes!

The only thing that I really liked there is the view! Which they don't need to work on! Right?

My point is:
- Was that ethical from the hotel service?
- Was that professional?
- Is that what 5-star hotel should do?

As an Elite platinum member for Life with the Marriott BonVoy Group, I feel
responsible to truly report major deficits of quality and service in one of the nicest properties of the Luxury Collection, Grand Hill Hotel & SPA Broumana – Lebanon.

I asses the property as a masterpiece of art projecting a majestic panorama
at 700m above the sea level. A stunning view and a tremendous tastefully and
luxurious estate furnished exquisitely piece by piece in every corner and every room in the spacious multi floors and blocks of this Hotel & SPA.

Actaully, this property is a continued legacy of one refined artist, desinger, founder and owner of a selective global jewellery brand, MUAWAD. A name of fame and history of perfection that is not consistent with a policy, and service at the Grand Hills “Muawad” Hotel. Probably neither Marriott BonVoy, nor Muawad know, agree or encourage the low standards at their Luxury Hotel.

I stayed for 14 days. Here are my observation and remarks;
1. Housekeeping; I never experienced such negligence, amateurish, unorganized housekeeping even in 3 stars hotels. Probably they don’t follow any GMP or Routines’ check outs.
2. The suite was not serviced /cleaned for 3 days during my stay.
3. The dust wasn’t wiped off, and the carpet wasn’t cleaned for many days
of the stay.
4. Towels, Tissues, amenities, glasses, cups, coffee / Milk, etc.. were never fully serviced.
5. The privacy was intruded even with “No Disturb Sign” on the door; once in the morning and another at 23:10.
6. The room smelt sweat after cleaning. Horrible!
7. Room service; Zero service! They Don’t attend to your calls and if/when they do that would be too late.
8. Internet; too weak. Cuts off most of the time.
9. The hotel holds parties, weddings, and concerts, etc… Music and Noise extend to 03.00-04:00 in the morning. No sleep is guaranteed! The management don’t care and just absorb the complaints offering a simple “Sorry”!
10. The Italian restaurant; “PASQUALE” is hopeless. Expensive rubbish pasta served on Thursday Pasta Night!!! The chief is an amateur with poor or no taste for food.
11. The SPA is well designed and equipped but the masseuses are pure
amateurs with poor techniques. The overall treatment is a random unidentified
method application no matter what massage you choose. On the top of that comes a high unworthy cost.
12. The Management offers soft apologies but never manage to avoid
repeated mistakes, nor they compensate any of them.

In my opinion, the current management is squeezing cost and suffocating
quality. FATAL MISTAKE.

I met with other disappointed guests and even heard complaints from the cap drivers as they heard from many of the hotel guests. Every complaint seemed to be correct, concluding a sad fact of the hotel’s failure to meet the requested standards.

PS: The breakfast restaurant operated friendly and professionally at high
calibre. The staff earned respect and on the top of them the headwaiter;
Mr. Fares.

I will refrain from mentioning my other written remarks, hoping that what I mentioned is enough for a wake up call.

Very sincerely, I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone unless or until the
service standards will be rectified.

The most terrible experience ever considering a 5 stars over rated hotel !!!!! after my arrival from abroad my GF wanted to start my vacation with a special breakfast setting
we arrived there and staff was very friendly. received menu (cheap design considering a 5 stars hotel) and ordered American breakfast including omelet, orange juice, jam, honey etc
omelet served folded in empty plane dish , no herbs, tomato , olive or else , 1 basket of bakery even though we ordered 2 American breakfast set.
jam and honey almost like samples
As the order looked soo poor we ordered cheese plate some veggies and labneh (dairy item)
labneh had some water mixed with the oil
veggies (tomato and olive only) dehydrated from cooling
cheese sample portion and 1 yellow cheese piece was rotten
orange juice not fresh (bottled macaw brand)

On top of all that the omelet carried HAIR ....

I believe no need for more details as the above can describe the cheapest service ever received in a what they call 5 stars hotel !!!!!!!!!!!

This hotel consists of a compound of buildings. The hotel is a beautiful building at the end of Broummana village. It is furnished in luxurious classical European styles. It has a nice swimming pool and gym. Staff are courteous and efficient. Our room was of average size and comfortable, but the AC struggled. Breakfast is average. There are no coffee shops or restaurants and only one outlet near the pool is open for limited hours. The mountain views from this hotel are very nice. Overall, we had a good stay at Grand Hills. It's a grand dame of a hotel that currently operates at a minimum of its potential due to the poor tourism season in Lebanon.
