Having stayed at this place in the 80's and remembering vividly the feeding of the leopard I had big expectations for this place. However after my recent visit I will look for somewhere else next time. Maybe I'm being picky, but surely if the river flooded 3 years ago you should have had time to clear up the rubble left...

We were welcomed to the camp with cold, fresh fruit juice. Baboons and monkeys abound. Room was clean and nice. Electricity available at selected hours, but generally very convenient. Mosquito netting was put around our bed while we were out (very nice). Staff walked us (and friends) back to our cabin both nights after dark with flashlights to ensure our...

Samburu Game Lodge is one of the areas that "Elsa" the Lion, from the movie "Born Free" was raised! **** We arrived after a long drive and find that it was totally worth it! As we enter the Lodge, we already see Elephant and Giraffe, and are totally excited! As we get out of our van, little monkeys are greeting...

This was our third stay here since 2005, this time in March 2014. The lodge has been through a lot since our last visit in 2007, what with the drought and flood, but other than the much widened river and missing section of bar deck you would not have known the place had almost all been washed away! For this...

I booked my safari group in the chalets on the river, rooms 64-68, for views & ambiance on three nights at the end of August & beginning of September. Three nights here are a minimum because Samburu Reserve supports so many wildlife species that cannot be seen elsewhere. Samburu Game Lodge's river chalets are among Kenya's best value accommodations. I...

I visited this lodge last year with a group of friends and we enjoyed the stay. It would not be recommended to stay any longer than 2 days though as there are other lodges within the and a plethora of different safari companies that will occupy your time in Kenya . Generally speaking though it's a very nice lodge with...

Stayed here for two nights at the beginning of our safari. Our room was directly on the river (67),what amazing views every evening and to wake up to, the room was very well maintained and large. The food in the restaurant was varied and hot, with all staff being very polite and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. Within restaurant...

This lodge has beautiful, spacious rooms and an abundance of wildlife. The room is very large and the bathroom is luxurious with both a shower stall and a deep bathtub. You will find lots of birds, monkeys, lizards, and baboons right in front of your door. While you eat your meals Genet cats, birds, and monkeys show up hoping to...

I've traveled all over the world and stayed at many lovely resorts and lodges. Samburu Game Lodge is by far at the top of my list. I will never be able to do it justice, but I will do my best to explain my experience at Samburu Game Lodge. First of all, the employees here could not be more accommodating...

My husband and I spent 5 nights here during our stay in Kenya. The Game Lodge is set right in the middle of the Samburu National Game Reserve so all the animals were right on our door step. We were greeted in reception with cool towels and a refreshing drink. We were escorted to our room by 3 members of...
