kenga giama is really awesome and a place to be with friends, family or even alone....on behalf of my colleagues we really appreciate the services and the good environment....big up Nicola.....anyone heading to malindi, this is the place.
This was our last stop before returning back to dreary UK, we stayed for a few days and loved it. The team was very friendly and attentive. The front door bell was charming! The room was ideal for us, options for eating on site was handy as this place is on the outskirts of town. Great beaches nearby, local transport is easy for trips into Malindi. Thanks Nico for a great stay!!
Thanks very much Kenga Giama for the good service I had during my visit in Malindi I realy enjoyed my staying in the resort it’s just amazing .i would love to come again and again it was nice stay there since your service was perfect I won’t mind bringing my friends over for a stay so they can also experience the good service I had .you have got amazing environment clean and green I loved it .and more do the privacy was just amazing 👍
I originally planned to stay for one night and I ended up staying 2 nights with the intention of staying again for 2 weeks (hopefully I will get a room) in June and then in October. I can tell you from the front desk clerk to the restaurant to the owner I have never been treated this nice as a Kenyan abroad. The security guards and everyone awesome. I spread the word around to my fellow Kenyans in the diaspora to check this place. The owner very very nice guy! Excellent Staff, happy people that go out of their way to make your stay one to remember!
Me and my friend spent a weekend in the magic resort which gave us back positive energy, relaxing, and a special treatment from all the staff who gave us professional treatment to satisfy all our requests. The rooms are very clean a day offered us all comfort. The tropical garden will it's pool inside is maintained in a magnificent way. Nicola, the owner hard beside his staff and is always available for any request and need and he cooks and serves the guests. We highly recommend for anyone for sure and we will be back soon.
We stayed at the resort during the Christmas period with my girlfriend and it was such an incredible experience. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The owner who is around most of the time is very caring and make sure you are happy all the time. The rooms are big and clean and you enjoy a breeze from the sea making the rooms very cool. No tvs in the room and, who need it while on vacation! The resort is a walking distance to the beautiful Marine beach which is very secure and you get to take a trip to the reef island and watching the fish in the clear waters. The breakfast was good but they can do better. I would definitely recommend to anyone and I am going back soon sometimes. Keep it up guys!
It’s a wonderful place for vacation.Good reception and nice people around.safe, secure and serene location.the pool was wonderful.next to it it’s a Crocodille and snake camp.Cant wait to be here next time.its a nice place to be
We stayed there this past Dec and we really enjoyed the place. One thing that is comforting is that the owners care about the security so you feel safe, it is also a wonderful family oriented resort we had a good time. It is also a walking distance to the beach . The only thing is that as you are checking in make sure to ask if you cost includes breakfast or not . Otherwise this is a wonderful place thank you Kenga and Ivanna for your hospitality. Serah
Kenga Giama Resort....it exceeded my expectation. We were received so warmly (Thumbs up )....gave me the feeling like we were part of the Kenga's from day one.... more interesting is they also made sure they did a follow up after our departure....i will recommended the resort and look forward to my near future stay.
My husband and I stayed here in December. We had booked for 4 nights but left after the first night because it was so bad. One hour before we arrived the owner called asking if we were arriving that day and when I said yes he sounded very confused. We arrived about 3pm and we were given a room that overlooked the construction of another small villa in the garden. So we had the sound of hammers and drills and no privacy as the bathroom window faced right onto this site with no curtains on the windows. It was obvious we had been given a staff members bedroom at the last minute as there were clothes stuffed into a corner of the wardrobe, medicines in the bathroom closet and the bedsheets were not clean. We were not happy but we did not complain at that point. We just came from a very long journey and we were tired and hungry. We asked about having food and we were told it was not possible at that time so we went out to eat. When we came back I went to take a shower and noticed lots of big ants running around the bathroom floor and I realised they were coming from the closet under the sink. There was a huge nest of ants and some coachroaches in that closet. I reported this and the owner came and sprayed for more than 30 mins. There was no AC or hot water. There was only an old ceiling fan that was not rotating properly and looked like it might fall down any minute! I asked if we could change rooms but we were told that all rooms were occupied. I was shocked when the owner said 'anyways, you have the best room, it is the coolest and the biggest' !! She said the problem with the water was in all rooms because they were fully booked and the boiler is not big enough to accommodate the number of guests!! In the morning I found more bugs in the bathroom and there were no available sun loungers at the small pool. We told the owners that we wanted to clear our bill and leave. They immediately got rude and started insisting that we need to pay for all 4 nights that we originally booked. We threatened to report them to the tourist board and in the end we paid for 2 nights plus the evening meal (that meal was very overpriced at 40 euros pp - a high price for a meal anywhere Kenya!). They insisted we pay the second night as a penalty but this was unfair as we left because of the low standards and service we experienced. This place is cheap for a reason!! There are much better places to stay in the area for around the same price. Even the beach location is not good...they are 10-15 mins walk from the public beach (not 5 min as advertised). If you want to go to the good part of the beach you need to walk much further. If you want to enjoy your holiday then look for another place to stay! This place should not be allowed operate as a tourist facility!!…
