Me and my husband and kids have stayed here a couple of time s and have booked to stay for new year 2014. It's really friendly, staff are great especially Purity who cleaned our room and always left the bed looking beautiful with flowers displayed on it! The food was great and the pool nice and clean. I visited this hotel for the third time with a friend last year and back with my spouse The staff are the most friendly and polite I have ever come across. The food is first class as is the location. I recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to have a relaxing holiday away from the rat race

I booked into the Hotel Melinde this June, partly due to the great reviews the property received on this website. I will start with the good things - it was in the centre of town and a short walk to the beach. The air-conditioning did work, as well as the fridge, TV and wifi. But all the good ends at...

Three of us needed a last minute place to stay in Malindi and chose Hotel Melinde pretty much at random. We were really impressed. The price was great for a hotel of this standard located so centrally. The rooms were huge and imaginatively decorated with some nice touches (big mirror, large bathroom with open-side shower, massive bed, proper mozzie nets...

The hotel is situated in a place the provides easy accessibility to Malindi center, shopping places and the beach. Best of all, Eloisa is a great manager. I highly recommend this...

The environment was great and the food was wonderful! The owner is an Italian female, I guess that's what made the food so tasty. 50 meters behind the hotel is the beach, can use some qualify time there! The owner is very friendly, often meets her guest at the restaurant with smile and carefully prepared food -- even as you...

the best thing about this hotel is the service. The owner pays attention to the customers. It is like being home away from home. The fact that it lies close to the beach is also amazing. I definitely look forward to coming back again.

Melinde is a hotel in Malindi,Kenya with a private beach front that provided a wonderful three day budget holiday for my wife and I. The Arab style buildings and interiors are great and the lounge is quite spacious and provided a great relaxing ambiance. The food is not that great though so maybe one should just stick to the bed...

“They have 2 kinds of rooms: with air-conditioner or without. Make sure you book the one with air-conditioner. Summer in Malindi is hot. Each of their rooms has an air-conditioner in it, so if you didn't know that, just go to the reception and add a little electricity bill, then you can use it.”

“The rates for rooms with A/C and the ones with a just a simple fan are different. make sure that the rate is for the A/C suites or rooms as the heat in this coastal town can sometimes drive you crazy.”
