Ol Donyo was one of 5 lodges at which we stayed during 2 weeks on safari in East Africa. We added Ol Donyo after we had most of our itinerary set, mainly because we were pretty much guaranteed a good elephant experience and I dearly wanted to see Mt. Kilimanjaro. The lodge delivered on these and much more. The genuine...

Thank you for this incredible review! We are so thrilled you enjoyed your holiday with us, probably as much as we enjoy living here. The last few days we have had substantial morning rain showers, and clear, sunny afternoons. It doesn’t get any better right now! Everything is looking so beautiful. We hope you will both be back soon!

We stayed at Ol Donyo for a week at the end of October This was our last stop on our 3 week trip to Kenya & Tanzania as mainly a safari holiday We knew that we would not see the sheer numbers of game that we had see elsewhere but we're hoping for a little bit of luxury, the chance...

Dear Paul, Thank you so much for your review, we really enjoyed having you and Jen at ol Donyo! It was absolutely fantastic getting to know you both over the week, and to be able to see such a swift transformation from non-rider to rider! The photo shoot was a truly memorable morning and I love the pictures that you...

Ol Donyo has been my favorite safari experience to date for a number of reasons. Its exclusivity is unrivaled in that the lodge is the only one on the whole 275,000acre property. We drove through hills and plains without running into any other groups, which is rare in most other camps. The lodge draws in the animals with the strategically...

Dear Alan and Sue, We love it when everything falls so perfectly into place as it did with you both. The beauty of Ol Donyo is being able to do whatever suits you, and you both did exactly that! We have 10 brand new bikes that need breaking in Alan….we hope to see you both back here again soon.

Ol Donyo is in a class by itself. Set on the mountainside overlooking Kenya's savanna and often views of Kilimanjaro, the hotel is worthy of a visit in itself. The means are just spectacular and there's a game hide near a waterhole where you can watch elephants and other critters drinking. While you're doing it the staff will serve you...

We visited El Donyo in November of 2014. Having visited Africa multiple times, I can truly say this property and the quality of experience are OUTSTANDING. The beauty of the setting is beyond description (the lodge is set on a hill, overlooking a large plain filled with game with rises gently to Kilimanjaro). We were fortunate in that the lodge...

Ol Donyo is in the Chyulla Hills and in full view of Mount Kilimanjaro, which I saw clearly for two whole days. The hosts Allysa and Ray were super professional and yet comfortable to be with and very friendly and interested in all their clients. The rest of the staff were professional, friendly, discrete and charming. The food was outstanding...

We started our safari honeymoon here and absolutely loved it. Managers Allysa and Ray have created a gracious haven of the highest standards. We were greeted (not just upon arrival, but every time we returned from our daily and evening adventures) to an enthusiastic welcome with refreshing, cool towels. Ol Donyo is such a special place - the lodge alone is incredible, but the people and overall experience made our stay extra special. There are endless activities in addition to game drives from horseback riding into the sunset, authentic Masai village visit, bike riding, and numerous hikes. One of our favorite experiences was taking a run on the plains...

It all started with zebras and wilderbeast scattering as the plane approached the landing strip. A warm Jerimiah was waiting for us and we hit the bush upon arrival.
