Great location managed by Johan and his lovely wife. They were great host. Chef was excellent! The food was delicious & excellent all the times. Salad was from camps garden. Our guide Alex (Koskey) was very knowledgable and took us where the action was. We were escorted by a female lion back to the airport, got close to 2m of... More

The luxury tented accommodation lacks none of the essential mod cons. Electricity is on 24 hours, and WiFi is available, free, in the lounge/bar. The meals, crafted using their own fresh produce, are delicious and varied, attentively and pleasantly served; and there's good selection of good SA wines and fruit juices—and cold Tusker beer. The whole operation is slickly and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights overlooking Mt Kilimanjaro and the Amboseli National Park, famous for its elephants. The place did not disappoint at all. Wonderful location to sit up in the dining room with a Tusker or two after a very special game drive

Tortilis was the first stop after a brief stayover in Nairobi. It is luxury in the bush. The tents are of the highest order with excellent facilities. The communal dining area and bar are superb offering great views of Kilimanjaro and a watering hole that is well frequented. The food is great and the staff are amazing. It set a... More

We spent four weeks in East Africa and stayed at many camps. This was one of my favourites. The staff were exceptional. Our guide also surprised us with a formal bush breakfast and took us for sundowners in the evening. Both were magical experiences. If you want to see many elephants up close with little vegetation hiding them, this is... More

Tortilis is an upscale camp which caters to your needs with a special flare. My tent had hardwood floors, running water and a very luxurious feel. Electricity and wifi are also available in the tent. Last fall we spent two wonderful nights at this fabulous camp. The location is perfect.
