The staff were very helpful and inviting. The food was really good. The landscape of the property seemed a bit overgrown, we were the only guests and were given rooms without a view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The manager told us they would have a campfire after supper for us, however when we went to see it the staff didn't seem...

Wow, what a wonderful hotel with the most amazing staff. We stayed here for two nights at the end of a safari tour and what an end it was. The facilities were fantastic, the food magnificent and the staff were wonderfully attentive and could not do enough for us. Our room was huge and beautifully laid out, with a wonderful...

We were led into believing that Kilima was one of the better places to stay in Amboseli, based on the higher price charged by Natural World Kenya Safari company, with whom we booked an overnight tour. However we were rather shocked when we arrived at Kilima. The whole place is terribly run down, empty and very, very sad. Paint is...

The hotel was different from most of the other places we stayed at Africa. Loved the specious rooms, large toilets and the huge beds. Didn't realise that the property was that big till we got there. There was nothing to complain about the hotel or the staff. I was very impressed with the staff ( friendly and well trained)

Super clean, nice room (super comfy bed) with a huge bathroom. Great staff, good food (you won't be hungry). When we visited the camp was quite empty so I was worried about the service and food options and was a little concerned as this place was slightly cheaper than the other lodges. But it was one of the nicest lodges...

The Kilima Camp had some really positive & negative points. Getting the bad out of the way first - the beds weren't comfortable; there was an electronic beeping (hot water system??) that made it difficult to sleep until power was switched off. Wi-fi was often not working & slow when it was. The positives - the lodgings were gorgeous. The...

Fabulous place to stay with Mount Kilimanjaro as a background. Comfortable tents were wildlife wanders and a great stepping off pint to the park. Mount Kilimanjaro is usually covered by cloud as the day progresses but climb the steps to the top of the viewing platform at dawn and watch the sun slowly light the snow on the mountain. It...

Started from Nairobi at 8.30 AM and after a leisurely drive on the Nairobi – Mombasa Road reached Emali around 12 noon. From there the drive along the smooth Emali – Oloitokitok road to Kimana was a further 110 kms including a 20kms drive on the Maram ( non Tarmac) road. The location of Kilima Safari Camp is superb for viewing wildlife - in the neighbouring Amboseli National Park, from the hotel viewing tower and from the fence around the property. It is well worth hiring a four-wheel vehicle and driver from the Camp to take you into the Park as they know the best places and times to see the...

We really enjoyed this place, although we may have though less of it had it been high season. I think there was only 10 people there when we stayed, compared to a full house of about 200 which would have been a nightmare. the place itself is very well kept with friendly staff. The 'tent' is huge, high quality furnished...
