Stayed in 2017 for a business conference. The hotel is huge with lot of amenities but language is a big problem as most of the staff didnt speak English. The rooms was comfortable ,had a small balcony with a good view of the hill but the washroom had a glass wall with a very thin curtain as i was staying with my colleague, it was very unpleasant and uncomfortable. They switches off the air-conditioner at the middle of the night, used to wake up every single night and open balcony to avoid suffocation. They had sensor-system to light up the common area, which is a very good way to save electricity but as soon as you wait for lifts the sensors didnt work and made me stand in complete darkness. The breakfast spread was very average and didnt have much options. The location of the hotel is not very close to any major tourist area. Overall didnt enjoy much.

The hotel rooms are not properly maintained. When we reached, a room which was allotted on 5th floor was not good. The bathroom tiles were broken. The lights in the room would not start as the card key was not getting connected. Even the card key was not working to open the room door. Even after I got the key card changed for 3 times and yet no changes in the situation. It took me 3 hours to convince the staff that I need a room change. I would say its an OK hotel

The hotel seems to have managed four star category, but there are so many cases that will make you doubt it. Firstly the room never got unlocked with the keys they provided. Got it changed thrice and finally i was able to enter the room, just to experience that room lights were not working. Overall Experience was bad and the hotel staff hardly understands english, so communication barrier is at the highest level.

We were a group of 40 people out to Almaty for a business conference & our stay was in Hotel Grand Aiser. The hotel is centrally located within easy access to shopping areas & local sightseeings. But as far as hotel is concerned, there was nothing which could make our stay pleasant. It is just a basic hotel without even standard amenities, like there was a kettle but no tea/coffee sachets! Even the lift got struck at one occasion & we were left stranded at our own, we could escape only after someone from the group literally opened the doors from inside. Altogether it was an average experience.
