The room was surprisingly spacious and the beds slept far better than I expected. We could see bits of the old castle walls and sakura blooms from our window. The only drawback was our inability to cool down the room, the control for the air did nothing, so we had to open the window, which meant we heard the traffic... More

This hotel was fantastic, a short walk to anywhere in Morioka. Trouble is, the short walks that we did from the hotel added up to about 20 kilometres on foot, after we had seen the 16 Buddhas, the 500 Buddhas, the 5 tier pagoda and the tree that split the Boulder. I stayed in a single room for one night and probably would do so again. This hotel is located about a 15-minute walk from the JR train station, close to a lively shopping street where you can find a variety of restaurants and bars that provide multinational cuisines. Stayed as part of first ever trip to Japan. Room was very comfortable and comparable in size to what I am used to in the United States. Staff was very friendly and observant.
