I highly recommended this ryokan. The land lady and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming. I had planned to go cherry picking at the Azuma fruit farm which is about 10-15 min. from the ryokan. Therefore, I checked in early just to store our luggage. The land lady, not only welcome us but also offer us a ride to the fruit farm. That was very impressive.

The ryokan itself is very classy and clean with traditional japanese style. As for the hotspring, there are a lots of them. There are open air baths with a nice view( and free sage) and the private one in our room which I like the most.
The other highlight is the food. Dinner comes with a lot of small dishes consisted of mountain vegetable, beef , sashimi and tempura.

I will definitely come here again, with easy access from Tokyo to Fukushima and just 20 min. by train from Fukushima station to Izaka onsen and to Aoba ryokan. It's a true hidden gems.

Thank PuttaLek
