Friendly front desk staff I love them 100% but VERY BAD VALUE costumers Service I stay in that hotel 6+full month but find out how bad the company policies is that’s the last time I stay there again Best Regards Martin
Basic clean hotel right in front of Fukushima train station. Nothing fancy. Beds on the hard / lower end side so if you're a picky sleeper you might not sleep well. Hotel restaurant (where the included breakfast is served) is actually a national chain of cheap izakayas known for being very cheap but not very good, so I'd skip the breakfast.
Did not have lots of time in the city. It is on the opposite side on the main side of the station in case some wonder. So there is way more restaurants and action on the other side of the station. As with Yamagata City, these cities are not huge in terms of population but do pay attention to the density since they are very very spread out. I totally underestimate the geographical size of the city. We made the mistake of going to Minka-en, which is way heck and gone from the city and not easy to get to and probably should have spent more time in the centre even if it was just walking around with the limited time we did have.
I stayed one night on the 10th floor. The view was wonderful - and the room quiet and clean. It was also large and comfortable with nice comfy beds. The bathroom was clean and of a nice size too. The staff were friendly and proffessional. The location is great as it is right next to the train station, taxis and the city. There is a nice convenience store right next door that is good for getting drinks and snacks if needed.
Situated next to JR station but could be bad if rail sound is too loud but don’t really notice. Nearby convenience store and foods but need to use a underpass to the east side for more variety at the downtown area. Room is clean and look like recently renovated, but only lack is no gym. Breakfast is limited but should be enough to fill stomach. Hotel staff is very helpful.
It is 2 minutes walk from the west side of the station and easy to find. Although it is so near the station if you close the windows you cannot hear the Shinkansen passing by. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
The hotel is located on the west side of the station, which is the more quiet side. From the window of the hotel facing east you can see the Tohoku Shinkansen going by. The hotel is an average business hotel. Clean bathrooms and rooms. There is a restaurant on the ground floor which is independent from the hotel but they serve breakfast there if you have breakfast included.
In fact, it's so near I can actually see the trains and people on the platform when I open my curtains. Other than that, the hotel is superbly equipped (common microwave in the pantry where I could heat up my Bento). Rooms are small in us gaijin (foreigner) context but that's the way it is in Japan. The breakfast was decent and very near supermarket as well.
The hotel is very close to Fukushima train station which many shops and restaurant are around. The hotel is new, clean and good security with key card to enter the escalator. The room size is an average Japanese hotel size, its double bed is comfortable but it is solid enough to wake up your partner when you move. Bathroom is clean with excellent toiletries. The room in the front and on high floor may have a beautiful mountains view.
Chose to stay here due to close proximity to rail station en route to Sapporo. The male on duty at reception most helpful with advice re dining and local attractions and even provided train timetables to get to Matsushima Bay in English. Room was large by Japanese standards and clean and comfortable. Coin operated guest laundry facilities were available on several floors at a modest price. Staff suggested we left large bags there in storeroom for collection on our return stay a few days later and they were already in room upon returning--good service. Only downside being westerners was the breakfasts which were all local cuisine and lacked even cereal or yoghurt.
