Stayed at this hotel during a study trip around the Fukushima prefecture. Apart from the single room being a bit small but very clean and tidy, this hotel was very good. Staff were very pleasant, everywhere was clean and tidy. Didn't use the bath because of my tattoos( I wasn't allowed in , rules). Breakfast was more or less a Japanese selection but with a few Western food items. This hotel was a good location for exploring Fukushima City, 10 min walk from the train station and shops. lots of places to eat and explore within 10-15 mins walk from hotel. Overall this hotel is very good and I would recommend it if you were looking to stay in Fukushima City.

Was here to visit my son who was studying at Fukushima University. This is the hotel that he stayed in, before getting into the dorms. It was a very nice hotel and the price was very reasonable. My husband and I stayed on the 4th floor in a corner room. It's very hot in Japan in August and we came to realize that the air conditioning doesn't work so well in Japanese hotels. That was the case for room 401. However, it was still much cooler than it was outside. The room was small and had two twin-size beds, but had all of the amenities of a more expensive hotel: a refrigerator, tea service, a small TV, slippers, spare sundries. The bathroom is fairly small, but had an adequate shower. We had booked a second room, a single for our other son and he said the air conditioning was great and he slept perfectly. He also reported that the hotels Internet worked really good (no extra fee for internet). Since we spend most of our days touring and most the evenings figuring out dinners, the GranPark Ex hotel suited our needs perfectly. For those booking through the website, it connects to Booking.com, and that website worked perfectly for reserving the rooms. They did not speak much English at the front desk, but we had no trouble with our reservation. Another thing, I need to book a room for two adults (me and my husband) and the room I reserved was called a 'twin' room, which meant it had 2 beds. That is VERY confusing to someone from the US, who things 'twin' is a description of the bed. All in all, it was a great experience.

It was better than I expected. Both room and meal and staff. I had lunch and breakfast at a restaurant in the Hotel. I prefer breakfast to Lunch. I walked from the station a little. It is better for you to walk along a big street as the way is simple.
