We came to Akita for the summer festivals.
this hotel isn't near the JR trains, but since we're travelling as a group with transport included, isn't a problem for me.
The hotel was chosen as it's just next to the street where the parade will be held.
In fact, the parking lot across from the hotel had been converted to a food stand market for the occasion, which is very convenient for me.
Rooms are clean but unexpectedly big in Japan!
Breakfast is half japanese and half Western;
It's not the best food around but okay.

I stayed with my husband for two nights in the end of August. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. That was what I felt about the hotel. Here are things I noticed during our stay.

The room was clean and tidy, although I saw brown stain on the edge of a mirror – the cause seemed to be aging degradation, not because of uncleanness - and kept hearing dripping sounds all the time somewhere in the bathroom. Our room was closed to the elevators, but it was very quiet and didn’t hear any footsteps or people talking during nights, so it was comfortable to sleep.

Breakfast was various choices from Western and Japanese dishes and served from 6:30. Ingredients were locally produced, and there was even hotel made jam, if you got there early.

It’s not entirely about the hotel, but I’d like to mention one thing. Although the hotel was a bit far from the railway station, there was a moat along the way, and we saw many big beautiful lotus flowers and ducks swimming among...
