We booked a room with twin beds. However, the room had a double bed plus an overhead bunk bed and was very small. Upon complaint we were told that an internet booking of a room with twin beds was not possible. Can't recommend.
I get the sense that this group of hotels has done very good market research - and have delivered a great product for the traveller. This hotel in Kochi has all the convenient and comfort features - and is well located. The staff are really excellent
The staffs can speak English. You can stay comfortably. They have requisite material generary.
The hotel is conveniently located near JR Kochi Station (approx. 8 min easy walk) and a giant supermarket is very close by. The hotel is very strict on check-in time (3pm) and check-out time (10am), but other than this, it is an excellent value-for-money property. Complimentary in-door hotspring and breakfast is a big plus. They even have a pillow menu and humidifier/air purifier in room. The room is clean though lack decor (but who cares if majority of time is spent on sightseeing?!).
If you choose to avoid McDonald's while in Paris, this hotel might not be for you. I was here in summer and Kochi has sort of a Waikiki night time feel to it, with the warm air, breeze, canals and palm trees. It's a nice town with some color, so why stay at this sterile box made for business trip automatons? I stayed in a hotel of the same name in Osaka, I believe. Everything, down to the positioning of the complimentary toothbrushes, was identical. For breakfast you get coffee out of vending machines, and a passable version of soilent green. Frosted glass barriers keep you from unwanted interaction with fellow travelers across the table, and the silence is broken only by the "I'm on vacation now so I can shuffle not walk" sound of the complimentary room slippers worn by the men over 35. Still, I award three stars for cleanliness, price, newishness, location and snazzy formica.…
Down-market business hotel chain with a gaudy colour scheme that reminded me of Ryanair. Aimed primarily at single business travellers. Our room was for a couple and child, with a bunkbed above a double bed, and rather cramped and hostel-like in ambience. It has everything you need including free breakfast (but not good coffee) but if you are travelling as a couple and want a cheap business hotel then I would go for the Toyoko and Comfort chains. Kochi is a nice city. The hotel is 7mins walk from the rail station (you can see it from the train), and from there it is another 15 mins walk south to where the evening action is. The castle and sunday market are well worth visiting. For a light lunch before catching a train, try the excellent simple udon restaurant a few minutes walk north of the station.…
If you are looking for a cheap stay near the train station , this is it. it is cheap, safe and lots of food in the morning, the rooms can smell of cigarettes and are cramped, but you cant beat the price
