The hotel just celebrated its grand re-opening on July 1. The condition of the building, room, facilities, dining areas was immaculate. The staff was top flight. The proximity to Shuri Castle and the Okinawa monorail make this the perfect place to stay in Okinawa.

DoubleTree just took over this hotel from Nikko on July 1st. They did absolutely nothing to refurbish the hotel, it's still the old Nikko hotel and still as outdated as before. Staff are also very poorly trained and are not delivering Hhonors benefits correctly to Gold/Platinum guests. I will not be going back there until they gut this place and... More

I stayed with my wife. Not flash hotel but really good location. If you take car to going around I recommend to stay. Very close to Ryukyu Shuri castle. You can feel and experience nice traditional Ryukyu experience together with Tamaudun. For the hotel... There are big advantage. You can enjoy Ryukyu food and... More

We visited Okinawa for the first time in Nov/Dec 2015 principally for the K1 Premier League competition. Everything else was a bonus. This hotel whilst not being in the downtown area was a great location for us. We were able to walk everywhere occasionally taking advantage of the hotel shuttle in the evenings. The rooms were comfortable and the staff... More

Our stay at the Nikko Naha Grand Castle was a memorable one in our trips to Japan. The guests service staff were very polite and helpful - they would walk us to our taxi and bow before we leave. I would especially mention a notable guest service staff - Ms. S. Matsui. She really made our trip in Naha a... More

Overall it is good value for money but the hotel interior needs improvement. Expect it is an old Japanese Western Hotel. My floor corridor and room even had some mold odor. The room has a dehumidifier / air-filter which helped once switched on. Staff were courteous and helpful but inflexible. Requested a late checkout at Noon but just wouldn't all... More

I'm sorry, i usually don't write bad reviews, but this hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. The room and hallways smell old and musty, and there is no escaping it. I actually went down to the front desk immediately upon getting in my room and asked for a non-smoking room, thinking that that was the problem, and was told... More

Located a few kilometres from the main streets of Naha but you can't miss it. It is so tall and the views day and night stunning. It is within walking distance of world heritage temples, castles and sites. The hotel does run a shuttle bus into town but only in the evening. There is a bus stop on the road... More

In December, 2014, our family of four spent nine days at this hotel. We are happy to report that our reservation for two rooms together non-smoking was met. The hotel is clean and the amenities are very good. Wi-fi is good in the rooms but great in the lobby. Grand Castle is a short walk from the Castle and the... More

This hotel provide good food for breakfast. If you need to take vitamin, you also can find they offer you Nature made. Most of staff can speak English. The service is good. However, it will take you 15 min to the monorail station, Gibo by walk. However, there is a shortcut to the station, but the road is quite steep.... More
